The nonconformity reporting document must contain information to identify the nonconformity, the concerned product, the decision-making realization and the application of the decision.

4 - GENERAL ORGANISATION The global nonconformity process is the responsibility of the Quality Department. The decision to issue a concession further to a nonconformity is the responsibility of the Engineering Department. This document is the property of EUROCOPTER . Page 5/5 The technical decision to accept nonconformities with or without repair is the responsibility of the Engineering Department tasked with definition of the product concerned. The physical control of non-compliant products as well as the search for corrective and preventive actions is the responsibility of the Production Department with assistance from the Engineering, Purchasing and Quality Departments. The commercial decision to accept nonconformities is the responsibility of the affected Programme Management.

5 - RULES R1 – Nonconforming products are to be marked and, if possible, segregated as soon as the nonconformity is reported to avoid detrimental operation of those products. R2 - Products with a residual non-conformity that affect safety are scrapped (residual nonconformity = a nonconformity which remains after a nonconformity has been treated). R3 – Any nonconformity that does not enter into the previous category, but which has an effect on the following : - Respect for contractual obligations or for the certified, qualified definition - Post-manufacturing operations - Assembly operations - Utilization of the product at Customer’s facilities - Interchangeability or maintenance are processed using the Concession procedure. R4 – Those products that have a non-conformity but that do not have an effect on the parameters listed in R2 and R3 can be accepted in their actual state, reworked, or repaired. This decision is formalized by the service responsible for the technical definition or by authorized, competent personnel, and will appear on the nonconformity Reporting Document. The eventual repair of the concerned product will be formalized on the work form. R5 - The nonconforming product is released once the decisions have been applied. If the product is delivered before decision application to another sector for industrial reasons, the nonconformities and the residual actions are clearly identified and formally taken into account with a specific document. R6 - Every discarded product is to be mutilated to prevent its use. R7 - Nonconformities under the responsibility of a sector different from that where they are detected impose formal information to initiate corrective and preventive actions. R8 - If the non-conformity is discovered by chance, thus raising a doubt about already released products (product judged to be conform and used downstream of the standard inspection procedure), the technical event processing / corrective action procedure should be followed.
