Inspection configuration The brake disc must be in rotation and five “peigne” sensors scanning with translation the areas 1, 2, 4 and 5. Two punctual sensors are necessary for the areas 3 and 7. The areas (1, 5) Model B or (1, 6) Model A could be inspected with the same sensor; the areas (2, 5) Model A or (2, 6) Model B could be inspected with the same sensor; according to the diary production. The area 7 could be inspected only if there is no defect on all the other areas. All the areas (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) are scanned simultaneously. In case of crack, the brake disc is rejected in a rejected parts tank. In case of no crack, the brake disc is rejected in good parts tank.
