English Debates

Welcome to SUPINFO’s English Department ! This year’s English Debates as well as TOEIC preparation courses will offer a variety of tools to ensure your progress towards English proficiency as well as obtaining the required scores for the TOEIC exams at the end of the year for the M1s and M2s.

Ranging from Tell Me More to the English Debates being offered this year, SUPINFO will provide you with multiple means to develop or refine your English skills. While English Debates should be fun and entertaining, the only way to ensure this is to treat them as you would any project, with Professionalism, Research and Dedication. Y ou will be given support for each topics in the forms of either Text, Videos or Audio to help you prepare each subjects. While these are there to help you, you should use your own logic and arguments as well by doing your own research in order to bring fresh ideas to our learning environment. Your English sessions will consist of a two hour slot centered around one subject. They will keep the structures of the previous years as they will include Debates, Discussions, Presentations and of course Workshops. Your professors will be there to assist you and give you feedback throughout the course. Your active participation, class preparation and overall interaction will consist of a large percentage of your grade with the second part being your knowledge of vocabulary, texts and of course the subjects. At the end of each two hour sessions, you will get feedback from your professors. While preparation is the main ingredient to a successful class, you must remember that the main purpose is to practice your English and work towards improving it. What better way to do so than by enjoying the class and taking it is as a great opportunity to discuss numerous subjects adapted to student’s interests. Along with TELL ME MORE, the debates will be a stepping stone towards your being able to communicate in English and also prepare you for the TOEIC exam during your last two years here at SUPINFO. The M1s and M2s will be dealing strictly with TOEIC preparations with the M1s taking an unofficial exam at the end of the year in order to prepare for the official TOEIC test the following year. We look forward to seeing you in our classes very soon.
