Setting up the Behringer BCR2000 for use with Reaper and Klinke's MCU plugin to use as Mackie control emulation You need: – Midi Yoke http://www.midiox.com/ – Husker view (http://www.xmlconsulting.co.nz/husker/huskervu.htm) needs Netframework 1.1 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=262d25e3-f589-4842-8157034d1e7cf3a3&displaylang=en Note: There's another application that emulates a Mackie display found here: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=33741 I've only tested a little, but seems to work good. So if Huskervu is giving you problems or you don't want to install Netframework, try this. – Sysexfile “Klinke BCR2000 v0_9_1” (see stashbox link) – Klinke's MCU plugin for Reaper found here: http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=4890 some app to transfer the sysex file to your BCR, I use BC Manager http://home.kpn.nl/~f2hmjvandenberg281/bcman.html or you could use Midi-Ox (same link as Midi Yoke) Note: The sysex file disables the store/learn/edit and save buttons because they have other functions. If you transfer the sysex with BC Manager, the preset gets stored automatically. If you use another app to transfer the sysex you might also need the store presets and send the proper one to the BCR also. (see Stashbox link) Install Klinke's plugin (see details on MCU-Klinke_Readme” for further instructions. Basically the “MCU” folder goes in Program Files/Reaper/Plugins (on WinXP)) In Reaper, go to Options/Preferences/Control Surfaces. Click on add and choose “Mackie Control Klinke...) Select it, click on edit. Control surface mode: Mackie control universal (Klinke) Midi Input: BCR2000[1] Midi output: Out to Midi Yoke:1 tick “BCF2000 mode” and “ start with MCP view”
(see Klinke's readme for details) close Reaper. If you've installed everything run Husker view. Rightclick, Midi Input: choose “In from Midi Yoke 1”, Midi output choose “BCR2000[1] now run Reaper, add some tracks, is everything is ok, you should see something like this:
In default setting, first row of encoders controls pan, second row volume. Mapping so far:
