The CL channel (M bits) is a 4-kbit/s pipe designed to convey maintenance information over the local loop. This channel comprises: - the EOC commands (Embedded Operations Channel) used by the LT to send operation commands to the NT1 (Loopback request, etc.), - a CRC information for each multi-frame sent, - other information such as Activation and Deactivation command and indications (ACT, SAI, DEA...), FEBE, etc.
