Dear Partners,

December 14, 2007

When and how to sow? That is the question that gardeners ask. That is also something we wonder about with our students. About three or four times a year, we organize events introducing the message of the Gospel to students through skits, stories or testimonies. Recently, we took advantage of the celebration of Thanksgiving and Christmas to provoke reflection of non Christians students and to help Christian students learn how to share their faith. Thursday, November 22, we visited students in the dorms with a mini questionnaire on Thanksgiving and on how they express their gratitude “toward life”. We ended by inviting them the following Thursday to a tasting of Thanksgiving desserts to deepen the spiritual sharing. The Christmas party is one of the most important yearly events in the life of the group. This year, the students from Campus Crusade and GBU joined together to plan the event. We sowed widely by distributing 2,800 invitations and putting up lots of posters. We were very encouraged by: – a rich collaboration between the two groups – an atmosphere of prayer and dependance on God through the whole preparation process – the strong commitment of the CCC students, with testimonies by Matthieu and Solène, Sébastien as MC, Anne for the games and the sidewalk interviews, Pierre for the video presentation, Julien and his guitar for the Christmas carols, Nathan and Pierre for their participation in a skit, and the help of our colleagues – the absence of any technical problems during the evening – the presence of several friends or classmates – a group of over 50 students, half of them non Christians and six Muslims – the joy of the students from the two groups seeing the success of the

evening and the good discussions the very positive feedback on the comment cards, with 16 wanting to be kept informed of our activities, and 11 interested in participating in a small discussion group on the Gospel.

Please pray with us for the follow-up, for the National New Year's Camp, December 27 – January 1, as well as the Twelfth Night Cake party on January 10, and a mini weekend retreat on evangelism January 25–26. With hugs and kisses, we wish you a
