Group Directory 2016 10 WELCOME TO OSCAR DELTA INTERNATIONAL DX GROUP st
International DX Group OSCAR DELTA was born at January 1 2001. The group was established in Poland, and was founded by 161OD002 Dario, who asked couple friends for help in creating HQ and building a new group, which will associate in its ranks professional 11m band operators. Dario didn’t want to be a president, so he asked his colleague Olek, to take this function and unit 161OD001. The name Oscar Delta consists from the first letters of founders’ names - Olek and Dario, and also first letters of the main motto of the group: "Oscar Delta - Only DX-ers". The first successful activation of OSCAR DELTA was activation from Nigeria - 89OD/0, activated by Wojtek ex 161OD005 Later there were many successful and interesting activations, such 97OD/0, 147OD/0, 307OD/0, 109OD/0, 161OD/G, 161OD/PJP2, 161OD/R. Those activations made OSCAR DELTA popular and brought great interest from operators outside Poland. At the end of 2001 161OD002 Dario moved to Germany, and for one year he has break in his activity in group. After this break he came back to work in HQ, he was working hard to make group bigger and more active. In 2004 Oscar Delta has “Great Depression” because of misgovern by polish HQ members, the group was slowly losing its reputation. To avert slow death of group 13/161OD002 Dario asked for help couple members of which was interested in keeping of the good name of the group. Together with 3OD001 Will, 47OD001 Thomas and Marty 43OD001, Dario made decisions to create a new HQ, to rebuild group. It was a hard time to start everything from zero, even the materials was in hands of Polish HQ. After short time a new web page http://www.oscardelta.org was created, also new QSL cards, sponsored by new HQ, was printed in couple weeks. New HQ has created new rules; main rule was to have no president. HQ didn’t want to commit same mistake as before, mistake which has almost destroyed the group, dictatorship of the president, who has holding in his hands absolute power. rd
January 3 2005 was the day of Oscar Delta rebirth. HQ has decided to change the rules, they also have create a new motto: "Oscar Delta - Only DX-ers - Only Democracy" The year 2005 was a new beginning for OSCAR DELTA. After a slow start, many operators have found that CREATING Of the new HQ has saved the group. New HQ won adherence and trust of the world's 11 meters community and the group has immediately began to grow. Many activations: 47OD/EU171 Jegind Island (first time on 11m band), 19OD/AS2005 - Sail Amsterdam 2005. 236OD001 - Max, active form Bangladesh (from August 2005). OSCAR DELTA GROUP MATERIALS If you need your flag QSL's for your country please ask all Members from your country to participate in the printing cost. Send all your pictures to 13OD002 Dario in High quality and he will design your OD Flag QSL Cards and he send you a sample to your acceptance. You can also design your QSL by yourself, but remember that you must send your design to acceptation by HQ before you will print it. Sample: If you have 5-10 Members in your country and they all would like to have OD Flag QSL Card... Then it is cheaper for all to print it this way! And you know that we will print QSL Cards only when we've received money! We will say "no money = no QSL" we hope you can understand this. You can order all OD QSL Cards via E-mail:

MEMBERSHIP RULES We would like to remain you, that accord to HQ decision, some of membership rules has been changed. Membership is still free, but you have to confirm your QRZ. Your confirmations will be accepted from 01.10 to 24.12 every year, so everyone has time to make decision if he wants to stay or leave the group. After this date all members, who has not confirmed their membership in OD, will be removed from members list and our official forum. It means they will be no more OSCAR DELTA International DX Group members. Confirmations received after this date (24.December every year) will be treated like a new member enrolment and new QRZ will be given (old QRZ will be lost). Those resolutions are introduced to improve qualifications of our members and quality of our group. We also would like to exclude operators who have our QRZ and never used them. Our group need active members and no collectors. To confirm your QRZ you should contact your local coordinator via email or post, or, if you don’t have coordinator, you should send it direct to HQ:

GROUP - RULES 1. Qualifications 100 countries, however there may be some cases where the division coordinator may accept a member in the group, if the person is one of quality, as we want quality not quantity. 2. Band Plan 26.000 MHz to 28.000 MHz all mode, please note all members are advised to use TRX radio sets, within the laws and regulations of their countries, we will not be responsible for members who do not abide be their country laws and regulations. 3. QSL divisional cards Can only be printed via your country coordinator, also personal cards can’t be printed without authorization of divisional coordinator or HQ. 4. Call sign You may have membership to as many other groups as you wish, we do not discriminate against other groups. 5. New members Membership is completely free, new members need recommendation from Local Coordinator or HQ member. New member receives UNIT NUMBER starting from 100 New member will RX only OD QRZ. Changing the UNIT NUMBER for lower number can be done after 5 years of continuous membership in the group 6. Membership confirmations Each member OD DX Group will have to confirm your membership once a year starting from October till 24 December every year. No confirmation of membership is the resignation of the group

7. Officials All groups official are elected by HQ; these appointments can be changed at any time where there is a vote of No Confidence by majority of the members in the division concerned. 8. Activations All activations, including IOTA & SES must be authorize by OD HQ and send an info to your local coordinator. OD rules for a DX activation to validate it. We need the Visas, Passport, Air Plane Tickets, Boarding pass, Videos, Photos. Full info’s about proves will be given by OD HQ. Also we need one QSL and the log book to put on the web. 9. Courtesy/Radio etiquette We expect all members to act with courtesy at all times, we will not look kindly on those who bring the group into disrepute regardless of the group concerned. 10. Contributions May only be asked on 0/DX/IOTA and most wanted countries. 11. QSL Bureau You may request for the QSL Bureau to manage your mail, this only applies to stations outside Europe or Most Wanted Countries. The only exception to this rule is if it would cause you problems with local authorities to QSL direct. 12. QSL Managers You may become a QSL Manager providing you have the time, and you have the finances to do so, and permission from HQ must be sought before accepting such a position. If there is already an OD member being a QSLM in another country and the member you wish to be QSLM for, is in the some country, it is advised that the OD QSL manager already in that division concerned handle this member. This would save the group money with materials and assure good service from the experienced QSL manager with that country. 13. QRZ DO NOT WRITE the QRZ of any member on envelopes, nor stamp radio logos on mail sent to other members. This may cause problems for certain operators, who have monitors reading mail’s received. Making a CQ call : Do not make a QSO on the calling frequency (.555) Once contact has been made QSY.
OSCAR DELTA WORLD CONTEST 2016 All the OD Members are invited to participate. The entrance fee, so it's not necessary to send money or request to participate. All DX-ers and all groups are invited to this event. Summer part: - June 11-12 2016 Winter part: - October 08 -09 2016 Starts 00.00 GMT Saturday. Ends 24.00 GMT Sunday

4. Numbers exchange: Progressive number for all stations working OD contest (OD members or not). Summer part start progressive number 001 - winter part continue progressive number. 5. Multiplier: A multiplier for one (1) for each different (DXCC) contacted. 6. Points: - QSO with every DXCC is One (1) points. - QSO with non OD members is one (1) point. - QSO with OD members is five (5) points. - QSO with OD activations (DX- 0 - IOTA - SES) or for all OD´s with title like HQ Member, Coordinator, Directories is Ten (10) points. 7. Scoring: The final score is the results of the total QSO points multiplied by the sum of your country multipliers. 8. Log: All QSO's must be registered in progressive number received and passed on the official OD log. OD-DAY CONTEST 2016
15 1. Objective. For Oscar Delta International DX Group members only 2. Contest date. - First weekend of November every year. - Start Saturday 00:00 - End Sunday 00:00 3. Frequencies & mode.
- Call frequency (monitor) for OD-Day contest is 27.640 USB only and after call go to 27,580 - 27.900 USB, LSB, FM, AM 4. Categories. - Single operator only 5. Points & scoring. - 10 point for first contact with each division after that first contact, all the rest will be 5 points with each division. (example .If you contact 14 division it will be 10 points if you contact another 14 division it will be 5 points) - Contact with a coordinator from each division 20 points. - Contact HQ member 30 points - Contact mystery contact 50 points. He can only be contacted one time. 6. Mystery Contact. - Will be selected by Contest manager randomly before the competition. - The mystery contact only reveals who he is after that person makes connection with him. 7. Log. - All QSO's must be registered in progressive number received and passed on the official OD-Day log. - Contest Manager must receive all Papier & Mailed logs no later than the second weekend of December. - The official log is available in the OD web site (www.oscardelta.org) in downloads section and also if you write to:
