The famous Renaissance painter Paolo UCCELLO (Florence, 1397-1475) was one of the greatest pioneers in the field of the perspective researches. He created several designs and drawings which seems directly coming from a 3D software ! I would like to pay homage to this precursor in re-materializing 2 of his wireframe studies: the Chalice and the Mazzocchio (a kind of hat). The 2 physical pieces, recreated in 3D and Rapid Prototyped, are each one installed inside a transparent Plexiglas cube where the original drawing is printed on a face.
