Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI)

Objectives: 2006 is the 50 years anniversary for the discipline of Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the past 50 years, the intelligent science and technology has achieved remarkable development and progress in the world. The intelligent science and technology in China has also developed very fast, made impressive progress and found significant applications in almost all fields of our society. It is more and more obvious that the closer a machine’s capability to humans, the better the machine’s utility to the society. This is a clear feature and irresistible trend of technology development termed as intelligence. For the purpose to more effectively summarize the achievements of intelligence science and technology in the past 50 years, probe into the future development directions and promote researches in various fields of AI, the 2006 International Symposium on AI-50 Years’ Achievements, Future Directions and Social Impacts (ISAI’06),will be held on
