CHRISTIAN  SCOTT    /    RIDER  2013 RIDER  TO  BE  ATTACHED  TO  AND  MADE  PART  OF  CONTRACT  DATED BETWEEN  CHRISTIAN  SCOTT  (HEREINAFTER  REFERRED  TO  AS  "ARTIST")  AND (HEREINAFTER  REFERRED  TO  AS  "PURCHASER"). IN  THE  EVENT  OF  ANY  INCONSISTENCY  BETWEEN  THIS  RIDER  AND  THE  CONTRACT  TO WHICH  IT  IS  ATTACHED,  THE  TERMS  OF  THE  RIDER  SHALL  PREVAIL. The  following  rider  represents  the  requirements  of  the  ARTIST  on  the  attached  contract. PLEASE  READ  IT  CAREFULLY.  By  signing  it,  you  are  agreeing  to  supply  the  ARTIST  with  certain equipment  and  working  conditions  which  are  essential  to  his  performance.  Any  breach  of the  terms  of  this  rider  is  a  breach  of  the  contract  and  may  cause  the  ARTIST  to  refuse  to perform,  without  releasing  you  from  the  obligation  to  pay  THEM. Please  remember  that  the  band  will  perform  as  a  quintet  before  october  31.  After  this  show, Matthew  Williams,  our  guitar  player,  will  join  the  band  and  they  will  be  a  sextet  again.

PROMOTION PURCHASER  agrees  to  promote  the  show,  which,  at  a  minimum,  shall  include  posters, advertising  and  listings  in  a  local  newspaper  or  entertainment  weekly  for  at  least  three weeks  out.  PURCHASER  shall  provide  a  written  media  contact  list. SUPPORT  /  OPENERS Management  or  the  booking  agent  must  approve  all  support  requests  and  suggestions. Unless  otherwise  contracted,  the  Christian  Scott  performance  is  to  be  AN  EVENING  WITH. WORK  PERMITS  AND  VISAS PURCHASER  must  provide  all  necessary  work  permits,  visas,  immigration  clearances,  licenses and  authorizations  from  any  and  all  government  agencies,  bureaus,  departments,  federal and  state  and  /  or  local  governments  for  all  musicians  and  working  personnel  when  traveling outside  North  America. CANCELLATION ARTIST  reserves  the  right  to  cancel  the  engagement  at  ARTIST's  sole  discretion  with  a  written note  to  the  PURCHASER,  30  days  prior  to  the  date  of  the  engagement,  in  the  event  ARTIST secures  an  involvement  with  a  major  motion  picture,  stage  play,  video  production  or  a television  show. FORCE  MAJEURE ARTIST  shall  neither  be  held  responsible  nor  shall  a  claim  be  made  for  cancellations  beyond ARTIST  's  and  Producer's  control;  or  for  events  affected  in  ways  such  as,  public  calamity  or riots,  epidemic,  fire,  serious  illness  or  injury. INCLEMENT  WEATHER Inclement  weather  shall  not  be  considered  a  force  majeure  occurrence.  Therefore,   PURCHASER  will  remain  liable  for  the  payment  of  the  full  contract  price  even  if  the   performance(s)  are  prevented  by  such  weather  conditions.  It  is  the  Producer's  sole  right  to determine  in  good  faith  whether  any  such  weather  conditions  shall  render  the  performance impossible,  hazardous  or  unsafe. ANCILLARY  RIGHTS ARTIST  shall  receive  100%  star  billing  on  any  and  all  advertising  and  all  publicity  releases  and advertisng.

BILLING Billing  on  all  advertising  and  publicity  to  appear  only  as  follows  : CHRISTIAN  SCOTT  (100%) All  payments  shall  be  made  as  provided  herein.  In  the  event  the  PURCHASER  fails  to  make  a payment  at  the  time  stipulated  herein  or  breaches  any  other  provision  of  this  agreement, ARTIST  shall  have  the  right  to  withold  performance  without  prejudice  to  their  right  hereunder. A  representative  of  the  ARTIST  shall  have  the  right  to  be  present  in  the  box  office  prior  to and  during  the  performance  and  intermission  periods,  and  such  representative  shall  be  given full  access  to  all  box  office  sales  reports  and  shall  otherwise  be  permitted  to  reasonably satisfy  himself  as  to  the  gross  gate  receipts,  (and  expenditures  if  required)  at  each   performance  hereunder. SETTLEMENT On  an  expense  based  net  deal,  PURCHASER  must  provide  tour  manager  with  : >>>  Copies  of  all  bills  and  invoices >>>  Box  office  statement,  ticket  manifest  &  settlement  report >>>  Tear  sheets  and  /  or  copies  of  all  advertising,  listings  flyers  and  posters. (Must  be  provided  on  a  flat  deal  as  well) >>>  Copy  of  check  or  wire  confirmation  for  deposit  to  agency PURCHASER  shall  not  permit  engagement  to  be  presented  or  co-­‐sponsored  by  any   commercial  product  or  service  including,  without  limitation,  any  newspaper  or  radio  or television  station,  without  written  consent  of  the  ARTIST.  Nor  shall  there  be  any  sign  or banner  advertising  any  product  or  company  on  or  near  the  stage  at  any  time,  nor  shall  any   such  advertising  appear  on  tickets,  flyers,  handbills,  or  posters  without  prior  written  consent of  the  ARTIST. No  product,  service  or  publication  utilizing  the  name  or  likeness  of  Christian  Scott  or  any   other  band  member,  may  be  produced,  sold  or  distributed  without  the  prior  written  consent of  the  ARTIST. RECORDING  &  PHOTOGRAPHY Christian  Scott  shall  be  allowed  to  record  the  show  and  commercially  exploit  the  recording throughout  the  world  and  in  perpetuity  without  paying  any  compensation  to  the  venue, promoter,  unions,  the  city  or  state  where  the  show  is  taking  place  or  any  third  party.  In  the event  that  Christian  Scott  becomes  liable  for  any  payments  in  connection  with  the  recording, the  promoter  of  the  show  shall  be  responsible  for  reimbursing  Christian  Scott  for  such  costs. In  addition,  Christian  Scott  shall  have  the  right  to  use  the  name  of  the  venue  in  the  artwork of  the  recording  and  in  connection  with  the  marketing  and  promotion  of  the  recording. Christian  Scott  shall  be  permitted  to  offer  for  sale  or  take  orders  for  the  recording  on  the venue's  premises  during  and  immediately  after  the  show. Videotaping  is  not  permitted  unless  aproved  by  MANAGEMENT. Still  photography  must  be  by  available  light  only;  there  may  be  a  time  limitation imposed  upon  photographers  by  the  tour  manager. All  radio,  television  and  internet  broadcasts  must  be  pre-­‐approved  by MANAGEMENT.  Please  check  with  the  ARTIST  representative  on  the  night  of the  show  regarding  specific  guidelines,  preferences,  etc…

INTRODUCTION  AND  BANNERS There  are  no  introductions  necessary  for  Christian  Scott  either  by  radio  station  personnel,   venue  staff  or  any  other  persons  unless  otherwise  prearranged  through  MANAGEMENT.   There  is  to  be  absolutely  no  corporate  or  commercial  advertising  /  informational  signs  or banners  directly  displayed  behind  or  near  the  stage  area  where  ARTIST  is  performing  during the  entire  performance,  nor  shall  the  ARTIST  's  appearance  be  sponsored  by  or  in  any  other way  tie-­‐in  with  any  political  candidate,  commercial  product  or  business. PERSONAL  APPEARANCES PURCHASER  agrees  he  /  she  will  not  commit  ARTIST  to  any  personal  appearances,  interviews, meet  and  greets  or  autograph  signings  without  approval  from  MANAGEMENT. MERCHANDISING ARTIST  reserves  the  right  to  sell  copies  of  his  CD's. In  the  event  the  venue  offers  CD's  for  sale  we  maintain  the  right  to  sell  our  own  CD's  and  at   whatever  price  we  desire. PURCHASER  shall  not  permit  the  manufacture,  distibution  and  /  or  slae  of  any  and  all souvenir  items  associated  with  the  ARTIST  's  performance  or  any  portion  thereof  without the  ARTIST  's  approval  and  or  monetary  compensation. ACCOMMODATION In  the  instances  where  the  PURCHASER  agrees  to  book  and  pay  for  hotel  rooms,  they  must be  non-­‐smoking  king  single  rooms  (Christian's  room  must  be  on  a  non-­‐smoking  floor)  of  four star  quality  or  higher.  PURCHASER  must  obtain  approval  from  MANAGEMENT  on  hotel   bookings  before  confirmation  and  supply  hotel  name  and  address,  contact  names,  phone   and  fax  numbers  after  confirmation. Accommodations  to  be  paid  for  by  the  promoter,  must  be  directly  billed  to  the  promoter.  It   is  crucial  that  the  artists  are  not  billed  for  room  or  tax  upon  departure. TRAVEL When  airline  tickets  are  provided  by  promoter  or  event,  ARTIST  must  have  tickets  booked leaving  JFK  (New  York),  at  all  times  unless  stipulated  by  MANAGEMENT  prior  to  the  event. ARTIST  must  be  guaranteed  an  aisle  seat  towards  the  front  of  the  plane,  but  no  further  than the  middle  of  the  plane  at  all  times,  unless  agreed  to  by  MANAGEMENT. GROUND  TRANSPORTATION In  the  event  the  ARTIST  flies  in  for  the  performance,  the  PURCHASER  must  provide  ground transportation  to  and  from  the  airport,  hotel  and  venue. Acceptable  vehicles  :  Late  model  passenger  vans,  mini  vans,  Lincoln  Town  Cars  or  equivalent (sedans).  Unacceptable  vehicles  :  Stretch  limousines  of  any  kind,  small  personal  cars  and taxis.  Vehicles  must  be  clean  and  in  safe  working  condition  with  ample  room  for  luggage  and instruments  and  air-­‐conditioning. MANAGEMENT  will  advance  size  and  type  prior  to  engagement.

CHRISTIAN  SCOTT    /    TECHNICAL  SPECS  2013 STAGE The  stage  will  be  a  minimum  of  30  feet  wide  by  20  feet  deep.  Height  must  be  sufficient  for the  band  to  be  seen  by  the  entire  audience  anywhere  in  the  venue.  The  stage  must  be accessible  in  a  manner  other  than  through  the  audience. In  case  of  outdoor  events,  the  stage,  mix  position  and  backstage  areas  must  be  covered. FRONT  OF  HOUSE The  FOH  console  must  have  a  minimum  of  24  channels  with  4  band  parametric  EQ  on  each channel. The  outboard  gear  should  include  compressors,  limiters,  1  high  quality  reverb  unit,  1  good   delay  unit. Speakers  must  be  able  to  cover  the  entire  audience  area  evenly. The  system  must  be  powered  by  high  quality  amps  and  be  able  to  produce  120  db  at  the  mix position  with  no  distortion. MONITORS The  monitor  desk  will  have  at  least  16  channels  with  3  band  parametric  EQ  on  each  channel. 6  mixes  will  be  necessary  and  each  mix  will  have  a  dedicated  31  band  1/3  octave  EQ assigned  to  its  output  and  a  compressor  /  limiter. We  will  need  6  wedges  and  a  drum  fill. There  must  be  a  sober  and  capable  monitor  engineer  in  attendance  at  all  moments  of   soundcheck  and  show. TECHNICIANS We  will  ask  for  1  x  FOH  engineer  and  1  x  Monitor  engineer  familiar  to  the  system,  to  help and  assist  at  set-­‐up,  soundcheck  and  during  the  show We  will  need  1  x  experienced  lighting  technician  to  assist  at  set-­‐up,  soundcheck  and during  the  show. We  will  also  need  2  x  sober  stagehands  to  assist  at  load-­‐in  and  load-­‐out  of  our  backline. Finally,  we  want  a  reliable  electrician,  familiar  to  the  venue  and  the  system  to  be  on  hold from  load-­‐in  until  load-­‐out. PURCHASER  shall  hold  ARTIST,  MANAGEMENT,  its  contractors,  agents,  employees,  licensees   and  designees  harmless  from  and  against  any  loss,  damage  or  expense,  including  reasonable attorney's  fees  incurred,  suffered  by  or  threatened  against  PURCHASER  in  connection  with any  claim  for  personal  injury  or  property  damage  brought  by  or  on  behalf  of  any  party  in connection  with  the  engagement.  PURCHASER  further  agrees  to  provide  public  liability   insurance  with  respect  to  this  engagement.
