Star Class Event SHORTTRACK SPEED SKATING INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION “TRIAS” SHORTTRACK, the shorttrack speed skating club in Leeuwarden, in cooperation with the Koninklijke Nederlandsche Schaatsenrijders Bond (KNSB) invites you to take part in the
“Friesland cup” An international shorttrack speed skating competition for juniors en seniors to be held in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. This classic tournament, an annual event, will be organized for already the 23r d - time and will be held according to the all final system. Date:

Conditions of contest: The competition will be held according to the 2004 I.S.U. regulations and the Regulations for Starclass Competitions Saison 2004/2005 For the StarClass you must present the protocol with the 1000m-times, signed by a Official who is listed on the ISU List of Officials for International Competition. Age groups: Junior D Junior C Junior B Junior A + Seniors

The final distance will be skated by the top 4 (6) final points scores and ties on the fourth (sixth) place. Classification: The final classification will be made according to the I.S.U. regulations. For the lower rankings all final races will be taken into account. The four skaters per club with the highest competition points will be counted for the club classification. Details will be supplied to the team leaders at the check-in. Awards: Awards will be given to the first four places of the final classification in each category for Junior D, C and B. Awards will be given to the first three places of the final classification senior ladies and men (+junior A) Awards will be given to the first three places of the final classification in each category for the relay-races club teams. One award will be given to the winning club. Check- in: Team leaders must check in their competitors on Saturday, January 8, between 11.30 and 12.30 p.m. Liability: The organizers accept no liability for injury or damage sustained by competitors, substitutes and officials. Accommodation: The participating clubs should book hotel accommodation. See the enclosed list for some low priced possibilities. Entries: Entries are open to I.S.U. members and their affiliated clubs. The official entry must reach the organizing committee at the latest on Saturday, January 1, 2005, and should contain the following: • Name and address of the club making the entry • Surname, Christian name and sex of the competitors • Date of birth of the competitors • Friesland Cup: Best times on 500 meters in the season 2004-2005 • Starclass competition: 1000 meters – time in a timetrial in the last 10 months • Names of the accompanying officials Clubs can only make entries, with approval of their respective I.S.U.-member through the attached entry-forms. The entrance fee for participation will be € 5.- for each competitor
