ABSTRACT
This presentation is a follow-up to Rebecca MacDonald’s presentation “Research Review 101” as part of a series on research review and ethics. Two weeks ago, we explored the nuts and bolts of research review at SMH and answered the questions: “Does my research project really need research ethics approval? And if yes, how do I get this approval?” This week we will explore the ethics of research and ethical decision-making to answer the question: “How do I address ethical considerations in my project? What does the research ethics committee want to see?” An interactive and practical approach will be used, with lots of examples and tips and tricks for getting your project approved the first time.
