SERVICE BULLETIN no. 3/08/2008 The Renewal of Parachute Jumping 1. APPLIES TO:
the cancellation of the regulation issued by the Service Bulletin no. 2/08/2008 - The Suspension of Parachute Jumping related to the parachute systems specified as follows: - the WP –175 reserve parachute - the OP-087 container, size 4N - the MPAAD safety device.
2. REASON:
Securing the proper functioning of the system containing the above specified container and reserve parachute based on positive results of the tests performed by the manufacturer.
3. MEASURES:
Close the reserve container using a changed way of packing, unlike specified in the current Technical Description P-001-01, 5th issue dated 03/2008, page 28, fig. no. 21 (current way of packing – see Appendix No.1). Perform the packing of the container with the following sequence of flaps: 1-2-3-4-6-5 (new way of packing – see Appendix no. 1). Insert the release pin of the reserve parachute not more than up to edge of the reinforcement of the flap no. 5 in maximum (see Appendix no. 1 – new way of packing). The length of the closing line of the reserve parachute set by the manufacturer is 75 ± 5 mm (see Appendix no. 1).
