* How To Download SGH-Z100 S/W Binary into the Phone *

1. Preparations & Connections - Connect USB cable for Z100 to USB port on your PC. - Connect the other part to Z100. -

Before you started this set-up procedure, you have to save a SAMSUNG USB Drivers in your PC first.

2. Before Running the Application -

Before running this application, you have to set up two things first.

-

(One is SAMSUNG USB Composite device and the other is SAMSUNG CDMA MODEM)

2-1. SAMSUNG USB Composite device set-up -

After you connect Z100 with cable and your PC, press 9 & END key on the Z100 at the same time. (You’ll see ‘EMERGENCY ASIC USB DOWNLOAD…..’ message on the external LCD of Z100)

Then SAMSUNG USB Composite device set-up is started as below. Click Next button.

Select ‘Search for a suitable driver for my device’ and Click Next button

And, you’ll finish SAMSUNG USB set-up successfully.

2-1. SAMSUNG CDMA Modem set-up - You have to have a setup files in your PC, and then run the setup file.

- Click Next button and then you’ll finish your setup.

- Click Finish button

3. Setting & Downloading -

Run SGH-Z100 down loader( Beta 2.1c) application as below.

-Click Phone Code and select ‘usurf.bin’ file which is located in the Z100 version folder

- Click MEGA Code and select ‘W1kMc.bin’ file which is located in the Z100 version folder. - Click MEGA Font and select ‘fontout8.bin’ file which is located in the Z100 version folder. - Click MEGA Rsrc1 and select ‘Rsrc.cnt’ file which is located in the Z100 version folder. - Click MEGA Rsrc2 and select ‘Rsrc2.cnt’ file which is located in the Z100 version folder. -Click MEGA FileSys and select ‘FactoryFS.bin’

- After you finish this procedure, down-loader become as below.

-Click Port search and make a ‘V’ mark in the check box.

-Click Download and you’ll see as below.

-After finishing downloading, ‘Download Completed’ pop-up window will be appeared as below.

4. Phone reset -

Detach battery and attach the battery.

-

Press 4, 0 and END key at the same time.

-

After you see the blue screen on the Z100, then release 4, 0, and end key.

-

(After phone reset is finished, you’ll see the ‘Successfully Restored. Please Restart Now’ message on the Z100 screen.)

Detach battery and attach the battery again.
