T his World Gathering in Egypt is an opening celebration for the Rainbow Family of the Living Light to enter kindly and respectfully in Africa, for a deeper reconnection with our Mother Continent and her ancient tribes and wisdom. This World Gathering will be very special, for many reasons.. the connection with the Sinai Desert (South.. the conflicts were at North!), the connection with the Bedouin Tribes.. the silence, the sacredness of the place... If you are a "western" really learn about the local culture! Be very conscientious and aware of all your steps and behavior.. and always in an attitude of LOVE, KINDNESS and RESPECT.., just by BEING YOU, tuned with your HIGHER SELF, to understand the nature of the culture and the environment you are stepping in.
Everybody with a open mind and heart is welcome. Remember that much beyond a party or a festival this is a FAMILY GATHERING. We recognize ourselves as brothers and sisters, living as a temporary community of travelers, artists, nature lovers, musicians, healers and more… all together celebrating life away from the technocrat civilization. It is a noncommercial event and no entry fee will be asked. We share knowledge through free workshops for a whole moon cycle (28 days). Gift economy is applied by donation after every Food Circle to support logistics and food for all. To avoid trashing the place and ourselves, the use of alcohol and drugs are not welcome. Leave your electronic devices at home! No needs for cyber social network or mobile phone when we are together. No needs for mp3 players or speaker when there is so many instruments and jam sessions are happening around. No needs for pictures when the main focus is to fully enjoy every moment without attachment. For technical and spiritual reasons the gathering is vegetarian and the food served in the circle is VEGAN. By respect for our Muslim hosts, and to avoid cultural clash or problems with the police, NUDITY IS NOT WELCOME. Brothers are in solidarity with sisters, concerning "non-topless". We will all be covered! :) There are not rules but important guidelines to keep the dynamic of the gathering healthy. No leaders, no organizers… we are all volunteers! W e share the same home and WE ARE ONE big family!

RAINBOW GATHERINGS T he Rainbow Gatherings are a human essential expression, a natural tendency ( of humans and animals ) to gather in nature and feel Peace and Freedom by being, unconditionally, who we really are, to live and let live, "to do unto others as we would have them do unto us”. A Rainbow is a One Moon Cycle Celebration, where people from all nations, colors, creeds, religions, shapes and cultures come together in natural and remote corners of the planet, close to the heartbeat of Mother Earth, to put in practice the way of life that comes from its Vision. It's about tolerance and freedom, personal and collective growth; It's about community living based on openness, non-violence and non-commercialism; about sustainability, respect and reconnection with Mother Earth..
Our Gatherings are free and opened to all! There are no tickets, no rules and no leaders. We have consensed Guide Lines and we make decisions in Talking Circles, where each of us has a voice... we listen with respect until consensus is reached.
We co-create the Gathering! It works when everyone engages and takes responsibility for himself and for the family dynamic. There are no paid organizers! We are all volunteers who give our love and energy freely!
RAINBOW BASIC GUIDE LINES ~ We Circle around the Sacred Fire twice a day to eat together, to share our visions and to contribute with the Magic Hat. ~ We cook 2 vegan meals a day for the whole family! ~ We use shit pits and we wash ourselves with water and ashes ~ We take decisions in the Main Council by consensus
b ring with you ~ Your Bowl, Cup & Spoon !! which you keep with you! ~ Waterproof shelter (tent, tipi, t arp s ) and warm clothes for the nights. They can be really cold in the desert!! ~ Extra blankets for the cold and for the Temaskal.. ~ Various materials for community use as waterproof tarps, clean containers for water and food, tools like saw, hoe, rope, shovel .. ~ Medicinal plants (for infusions), essential oils, macerated plants, bach florals, super foods (chlorella or spirulina, maca, goji berries, etc.), fruits and vegies from your garden, nuts and various seeds, legumes and grains to sprout... ~ Musical instruments, colors to paint, colorful cloths, books, juggling ... ~ bring your contribution to the "Magic Hat" to provide good food!! ~ and, above all, your good humor and your silence, your children and your love, your care and serenity, smiles, joy and good vib e s .. BE YOURSELF!! when you see a job its yours!! ~ bring firewood, bring water, dig "shit pits" , help in the kitchen and in the shopping missions , clean around, collect garbage you find on the way and recycle it, , advertise workshops, participate in circles, put some money in the Magic Hat, share healing, art and good humor, spread good energy... ~ participate actively! love, laugh, sing, dance .. share, care and celebrate fully and abundantly! If it is the first time you come, don't be shy and ask how the dynamic flows, you can also find some information on booklets at the Welcome Center when you enter!
J OIN THE SEED CAMP! .. The Seed Camp has already started! .. bring tools for the Seed Camp!! Lots and lots of work is to be done, like the basic outline of the camping areas, the Welcome Center, digging the Shit Pits, creating the Kitchen and its water systems, the Main Circle and the Healing Area, painting colorful signs... It's one of the most special occasion in the gathering, where everyone is really much closer.. connecting with the silence of the place, the nature and its elements ..
