Sail and Rigging Measurements from Drawing - Metric Sail Plan drawing (“Cotre a Derives en Alu”) by P. Vangootsenhoven and J. P.Brouns , P. Marique (consultant) dated 25/04/77, scale 1/20, Plan # “7 / PV 36 / P1 / 2” Saved in a file titles “Plans – sail plan n side view 2” copied form the Trisbal web site. Notes: The lengths of the sheets includes and blocks on deck, the sail or mast. And is the distance from the clew to the deck fitting to the aft of the boat. The distance of the deck fitting for the sheet (turning block) is measured from centre of the mast. The dimensions of shrouds and stays include turnbuckles and any other fittings. The luff, leach and foot dimensions include the cringe., are exterior measurements of the edge of the sail. The tack of the jib/genoa and the staysail tack are 0.19m above the deck. All measurements underlined and bolded were specified on the drawing, all others were measured: Distances between battens was measured along the mainsail’s leach. Reefs on mainsail are measured from the boom up the mast and along the leach. Roach was specified on the foot of the foresails and the leach of the main.
