I have received the application for PhD fellowship from a candidate with an important potential. Ilya N. Nedospasov is currently a Master 2 student in the Acoustics Laboratory of the Physics Department of Moscow State University. He made the Master Diploma mostly on surface waves in anisotropic media and resonances of liquid droplets, but has a solid background in theoretical acoustics in general. The supervisor of his research was Prof. Mozhaev, who has strongly recommended this student. For his excellent research results the student received recently the award on the student competition organized by the Institute of Radioelectronics and Russian Fund of Fundamental Research. A photo, where he is receiving this award from Prof. Gulyaev is attached (you should remember the Gulyaev-Bleustein surface SH waves in piezoelectrics, perhaps). He is also nominated by Acoustics Laboratory for the Student Prize of Moscow State University. Until now I have failed to find a fellowship for this student. I would really appreciate if you find possible to announce this candidate for the PhD Felolowship to the Members of the French Acoustical Society (CV of the candidate is attached).
