REGISTRATION FORM The first edition took place in March 2012 and was a sucess, either for the enthusiastic participants, that for the invited teachers. The village of “Cerneux-Godat” suited well in the event, by its peace and its character relatively isolated by an urban area, allowing the trainees to be totally into the music. For that reason, the same place has been choosed for this new edition.

The leather workshop at the Prailats (Franches-Montagnes), thanks to its owner, Stephan Berger’s work and his collaboration with Michel Godard initiated this event around the Serpent. Masterclasses and workshops will be organised for four days, addressing the needs of professional and amateur musicians and music students according to the programme below. This event is meant to be a good opportunity for the participants to meet and exchange with each other. It will be open to a continuous and fruitful process of questioning.

SCHEDULE Thursday from 1pm, Friday and Saturday all day, Sunday morning until 1pm, various workshops with Michel Godard, direction (F), Volny Hostiou (F), Patrick Wibart (F) and Phil Humphries (UK). * Technical work with the instrument * ensemble music * plainsong, religious music * ancient and romantic music * improvisation and contemporary music * discovery of the instruments This can be achieved in an entertaining way through improvisation and a playful approach of the ancient and modern repertoire PUBLIC EVENTS Friday 2nd May 6:30pm Bruno Kampmann, public lecture : “Serpent’s history : evolution of the instrument to the ophicleide” Saturday 3rd May 9pm a concert will take place in Café du Soleil Saignelégier, “ Le miroir du temps ” (Michel Godard : serpent, guitare basse and his guests Katharina Bäuml : chalémie - Bruno Helstroffer : théorbe - Murat Cosçun : percussion). The 1st part and final of the concert will be open to the participants and the four teachers. Sunday 4th May 11-12am workshop’s open doors
