Sainte-Catherine’s street

On the European level, with its 1200 meters long, the commercial street Sainte-Catherine (from the Place of the Comedy to the Place of the Victoire) in Bordeaux beats all the records of length and will be able to enchant you when you do shopping. Yeah, this very long street is THE street where you go when you want to buy clothes, shoes, presents, CDs, accessories and all this kind of stuff. Weve made a list of our favourite shops: for clothes: Wap Doo Wap (cyber electro punk) , La ptite Zoé (nice things but very expensive...), Au Pont Neuf, Jennyfer, the famous H&M of course, Camaïeu, Pimkie, Mexicana (there is great decoration in this one, just go there for it!), Etam, Celio (only for men), Zara, Strickly, Goéland (a lot of clothes of music bands and all that kind of stuff), Made in, Victory Of London (the most expensive shop in Bordeaux!) ... for shoes: Bata (women shoes), André (women shoes again), Chausport, Athletes foot, Foot locker (the last three sell sport shoes) for accessories: Réserve naturelle (earrings, necklaces, hair accessories, rings...) Claires (the same as the Réserve naturelle), Instinct Irisé, Séphora, Saga (these three sell make-up and perfumes), Sac story (bags, hand bags and school bags...), Soho (a lot of funny things, completely useless, but that make us smile), La Carterie (nice and cheap stuff, in fact these last two shops are perfect when you have to buy some presents: youre sure to find something which would be liked), Salsa (its a very cool shop where you can buy boho things, chech, keffieh, piercings, incense...) for books, CDs or video games: Bookan and Mollat for the books (be careful not to get lost there), Disc King, la Fnac, Virgin (which isnt exactly in the Sainte Catherine street but in a perpendicular street) and the best of all : Total Heaven (situated near the street too, in a little seedy street (hehe); you can find all the CDs of the world there) and now, the unclassable: Cactus (music instruments: guitars, basses, amplifiers, drums...), Percikopat (piercing and tattoo shop), Disney store (all the universe of Disney, declared as the best shop of the street according to the survey weve done in our class...) Of course, there are plenty of restaurants and little shops where you can buy sandwiches and soft drinks : the unavoidable MacDonalds, the Point Chaud (where there are a lot of delicious chocolatines (chocolate croissants...), and cookies) , La Brioche Dorée... You can find several bars and pubs too and also a restaurant in the Galerie Bordelaise. So come to Bordeaux, enjoy yourselves! Stéphanie and Laurianne (1ère)
