RULES - VUELTA 2008 I The competition is open for anyone owning an e-mail address. Only one team per person (more of 18 years). There are not prizes to be won. I Select 10 base riders, 5 reserves riders, 5 extra riders, 1 Joker for each jersey, one special stage and one rest stage. I A team can be altered before the first stage. After the start, the extra riders will take the place of a base or reserve rider that doesn't start. Each following rider go one place up and the first extra rider become fifth reserve. The remaining extra riders will not be used in later parts of the game. If the number of extra riders is not sufficient, the 1° rider of the team in place 3 of the first stage is add, then the 1° rider of the team in place 4 ... I The JOKERS: The points win by a Joker are multiply by two for the concerned jersey, at each stage (not for the final ranking). A rider may be joker several times. If at the beginning of the Vuelta, a joker does not take part, this title is automatically deferred to the first joker-reserve of your list which really leaves. If your joker-reserve does not form part of the 10 bas riders, it will be placed of office among the holders before applying the slip of the § preceding. If a runner not starting were two times joker and that the joker-reserves are different and not base riders, the slip would be done in the other direction, base rider 10 becoming first reserve. I Choose good the reserves. If a base rider doesn't start the first available reserve rider take is place. The points win by the reserve rider in the precedent stages are not count. If a joker is replacing, the reserve rider become not joker. A rider which does not finish a stage is replaced only at the following stage. I For the special stage, all the points win in the stage are multiply by two. (The points of the jokers for the concerned jersey are multiply by four). I The day of your rest stage you score 0 point. I If one or more stage are cancelled they are consider as rest stages. In this case all other stage will be consider as normal (include your rest stage) and the special stages concerned are replace with the reserve special stage. I The official result of a stage is the result as published by lavuelta.com or cyclingnews.com. If a rider is disqualified the next day, the ranking is not modified. I If a rider leave the Vuelta, they points stay acquire for the player.
