Professional Experiences Veolia Water Solutions and Technologies (VWS), Île-de-France, R&D Engineer Internship, 6 months, 2010. • Studied and used the biopolymers/biocoagulants and activated carbon (PAC) in fluidized bed for organic matter treatment in water. • Started-up, optimized, exploited two Actiflo® Turbomix pilots (one with PAC in new configuration, other with bio-agents) and the FINAXO pilot (lamella clarifier and granular filter). The pilots function at water plant in Beaufort (France). Anjou Recherche - Veolia Environnement, Île-de-France & Bretagne, R&D Engineer, a year, 2008 - 2009 • Characterized and simulated the ozone demand and the bromate formation in the potabilisation of 7 raw water. • Developed a new reaction kinetic model for ozone with organic matter and for bromate formation. Mathematically optimized 16 parameters for the model. • Optimized a new installation (dissolved ozone and gas analyzer, water conduit) for on-line ozone monitoring and applied to characterize the gas - liquid transfer in the ozonation tank in drinking water plant at Annet-sur-Marne (France) • Cooperated the development (calculation module and interface) of SimOx, a bi-phase (gas-liquid) reactor simulation program. Publication • A Modelling Procedure for On-Site Ozonation Steps in Potable Water Treatment, Water Science and Technology : Water Supply, Volume 9, Number 4, p459-467, 2009. Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety Institute (IRSN), Île-de-France, D&D Engineer Internship, 5 months, 2008 • Modelled the transfer of nuclear plant's chemical discharge to environment. • Assessed the risk of nuclear plant's chemical discharge for human and for environment. • Developed (inserted new way of transfer, simplified the code source, improved the interface...) CALIES, software to Calculate the Environmental and Sanitary Impact of chemical liquid and gas effluent. Climate and Environmental Sciences Laboratory (CEA & CNRS), Île-de-France, Technician Internship 1.5 month, 2007 • Optimized and applied the vacuous technique for carbon dioxide (CO2) purification in the C14 dating.
