A Finite Elements Model simulates the structural behaviour of the bridge. Hinges constraints fix the struts on the foundations, while the bridge landings are simply supported.
The condition of limestone outcrops and bedrock varies widely at the edge of and into the cliff along the Ottawa River. The reinforcement technique better suited for Nepean Point bedrock provides the installation of ground anchors enclosing the south rock wall. This solution provides both better aesthetic solutions than other methods and technical efficiency. TORSIONAL BEHAVIOR LE COMPORTEMENT TORSIONNEL Two built-up beams with a tube section has been chosen to absorb the torsional stresses.
