Dress code in France and in the United kingdom In France, we can wear whatever we like whereas in the U.K. They can.t. school uniforms are very common in the U.K. 98% of secondary schools require uniforms , and 79 % of primary schools . In secondary schools (the equivalent of our collège+lycée), the uniform usually consists of a blazer with school colors , a shirt , the tie of the school , trousers ( or skirt) black, gray or blue navy, dark socks, solid black shoes and a sweater bearing the crest of the school. In the absence of uniform, schools often establish fairly strict dress codes ( prohibition of wearing soccer t-shirts, dresses or tops with spaghetti straps, clothing with inscriptions… ).

Prefects In, France we don’t have prefects. What We have is mediateurs. A prefect is a student with authority and responsabilities. He or She is also the Head of House, like Percy in Harry Potter. In the U.K the pupils have lunch at school. They just have from 50 minutes to one hour to eat. They can.t go home. They usually have a packed lunch whereas in France, it is different. In the U.K, Everyone eats in the hall of the school. They bring their food .
