New Rector in UNIMA

Mr Philotheus Tuerah, obtained his PhD at the University of marseille, CRRM under the directio n of the professor Henri Dou. After his successful defense of his PhD, Dr Tuerah returned to the University Negeri Manado (UNIMA SULUT) in the North Sulawesi. He developed successfully in collaboration with the CRRM the DEA and after the master of Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence at UNIMA. This Master was a full success and conduct to different PhD, with Indonesian students two French universities were involved in the PhD program: University Paul Cezanne (Aix Marseille III) and the University of Marne la Vallée. The Competitive Intelligence program at UNIMA was also a way to obtained various grants from the regional Bupatis and to applied Competitive Intelligence in other “territories” sucg as the natural products from North Sulawesi (Laboratory of Dr Jacky Kister, CNRS 6171 Marseille). The core of the program was sustained by the former Rector JL Lombok, Irene Umboh (International program UNIMA), various professors of UNIMA and most particularly Professor Waworoento, Dr Sri Damayanty Manullang, the “alliance française” in Manado, Professor Henri Dou and the late Renaud Vignal Ambassador of France in Indonesia. The election of Dr Philotheus Tuerah as Rector of UNIMA should provide more facility to strengthen the French Indonesian program and to give a supplementary boost to the French Indonesian cooperation.
