Hey ! Here is the tour-report from our November Illness Tour 2011. Touring is awesome, you’re always like “we’re gonna make tons of photos, videos, make a good video of the tour and shit like that”. Then you come home, you say “sleeping is awesome, I’ll do to the photo-thing later and the tour report later after the photos”. Then you’re depressed, and you say, “Touring was so awesome, but I didn’t make what I said I would, so I’ll try something”. Then you’re back at work and you don’t have time so you make a tour-report on Word as a military report so it’s not a fucking boring novel with bad jokes and bad time accordance, AND it’s not a too big pain in the ass to do and to read. So that’s why this report will be like this. Because we’re lazy. Well…because I’m lazy. So first thing: thanks to all the people who set-up a gig for us!!! Big thanks, we already told you on tour, but without you all, we’re nothing but another “WE in the garage” band. Thanks allowing us touring this way, visiting countries, meeting amazing people, drink new beverages, sleep in awesome places…! We like it and we love you for doing that for us and generally for bands like us! You’re giving us a reason to live! So thanks to Mary, Egy, Prema, Jakub, Rado, Romek, Pawel, Dany, Pepe and their crew!!! DAY ONE – Tour Kick-off! – 03.11.2011. Country: France Town: Strasbourg Place: Jimmy’s Pub Organizers: Punkroutine Band(s) we played with: Watch Me Sink. What was it? Post-hardcore/hardcore Were they good? Yes, and it was one of their first concert. Were they nice? Fuck yeah! Team’s sickness condition: Luc is in remission of its angina. Kiki got it tough. Simon is getting sick as hell. Max, Seb and Sam are OK. Fun (or not) facts: #1: We’re all a bit depressed cause our legendary guitar player formal member Seb is not coming with us on tour for work reasons. Seb plays with us tonight, then our redhead (but friend, yeak) Sam will replace him for the tour. He will be our redhead passenger. #2: First show for my new 20$ Sick Of It All short. Same thing for Max. Simon is wearing his 40$ Sick Of It All jacket. Did I mention that we went to see Sick Of It All 4 days ago and that is was fucking awesome? #3: First show that we have our new merch’ stuff (hooded zippers and t-shirts). They’re beautiful, and too many people bought one, so thanks a lot, that saved us the tour!!! Big thanks again. DAY TWO – Tour sick-off! – 04.11.2011. Country: Germany Town: Bingen-Am-Rhein Place: JuZ Organizers: Mary Mojito Band(s) we played with: No one (not fun reasons) What was it? Nothing… Were they good? Better than us if they had played Were they nice? Yeah cause as they’ve cancelled we got more beers and food. Team’s sickness condition: Kiki begins to get better. Simon is sick. Max, Luc and Sam are OK. Fun (or not) facts: #1: We were working today haha #2: Our friends Doin’ Just Fine were supposed to play with us, but they had to cancel for health reasons. So we played alone. Sep, Phil, Nico, we sent you love and support from this event! #3: The JuZ is great, well maintained (walls are not broken, paint is fresh…). They have a lot of gears for the sound-system. The place is really cool and the people too! #4: Sam is rehearsing the whole set in the backstage, he’s pretty stressed but he shouldn’t. We play our set, but the show is weird, people are far from us (even if I’m on the floor), maybe we’re ugly or smelly… but 4-5 people are really into it so we’ll take it as it comes :) #5: we spend the night talking with these 4-5 people, drinking beers without being thirsty, Luc plays kicker with his new german friends, I go to sleep to recover. Sam and Max spend the night outside (5°C) chating and smoking. Guess who’s gonna be sick tomorrow? #6: we have one of the best tour breakfasts ever.

DAY THREE – Saturday night fever! – 05.11.2011. Country: Czech Rep. Town: Horovice Place: Florida Pub Organizer: Egy Band(s) we played with: Nezapomen and B.O.B. What was it? Punk-crust and hardcore Were they good? Fuck yeah !!! Were they nice? Yeah everyone was fine :) Team’s sickness condition: Kiki is almost fine. Simon is sick. Max begins its own angina with a fucking fever. Luc and Sam are OK. Fun (or not) facts: #1: We can’t find the venue, so we call our friends BGdu57 who played there a few days before to get some help. We finally find the bar, and there is almost nobody. #2: We wait a while, then people are coming, drinking, partying … nice night! #3: Sam and Max and Simon and Luc (everyone but me ^^ ) take a nap during the show of the other bands. #4: Our gig went really well, people are into it, and they all buy our split 7” with our friends Escape. Thanks a lot guys and girls!!! #5: We go to sleep early for recovering.

DAY FOUR – Sunday butchery! – 06.11.2011. Country: Czech Rep. Town: Vsetin Place: Jatka Organizer: Prema Band(s) we played with: Tummo What was it? Hardcore-sludge Were they good? Fuck yeah !!! Were they nice? We almost didn’t talk, but that’s a shame! Team’s sickness condition: Kiki’s losing it again. Simon is recovering. Max has a lot of fever. Luc and Sam are gay but fine. Fun (or not) facts: #1: We can’t find the venue. After a few search we find the good number in the good street. We’re in front of a butchery. We ask someone where is Jatka. He brings us to another place. But that’s not it. I call Prema, he says go back to the first place. #2: We park the van, eat some snacks and drink some beers in it. We’re in front of this butchery, and we laugh about how insulted would feel a fully-vegan-band if they had to play in a butchery or worst, in a slaughter room. #3: Prema calls back, we have to meet him at the train station. First words from him: move your fucking French ass. haha #4: So he shows us the direction of Jatka, and tells us that “Jatka” means “butchery” in Czech. Now it all makes sense: the first stop at the butchery, the place where the guy brought us was a butchery… and in fact we play in an old slaughter room, but transformed into a cool place. #5: Good show in front of motivated people. There still are some butcher hooks in the venue. #6: Luc almost got raped by some guy who fell in love with him (the guy tried to touch caress his tattoo), and they left us some annoying girl who fell asleep in the couch…she finally woke up around 5:45AM completely panicked, turning on the light and making too much noise (like during the whole evening), waking up everyone… She finally left. Good riddance! DAY FIVE – Kawiarnia Naukowa Round 3 – 07.11.2011. Country: Poland Town: Krakow Place: Kawiarnia Naukowa Organizer: Jakub Band(s) we played with: Brainwashed and Eleo What was it? Punk bands Were they good? Yes Were they nice? Yep Team’s sickness condition: Kiki is fine. Simon is almost fine. Max begins to get a bit better. Luc and Sam are in love. Fun (or not) facts: #1: Simon broke my DS. No more Advance Wars 2. :( #2: How is Poland? Rebuilding their roads. Every five fucking meters = road works. #3: Our show is really good, smiles are spreading on faces, so that’s awesome! #4: Our friends from Halt! are here, and tells us that it was one of the best concert they’ve ever seen in here :) and that the positive energy was flowing everywhere in the room. Awesome! We met new friends from Czestochowa and Turkey (yes!), while people of Krakow are making a secret meeting to prepare their strike of the 11.11.11. in Warsaw. In fact the 11.11. is the Independence day of Poland, and there should be a big anti-fascist strike in Warsaw this day, and they were making plans for it.

DAY SIX – Back to Sered! – 08.11.2011. Country: Slovakia Town: Sered’ Place: Sered Kemping Organizer: Rado and friends Band(s) we played with: Barney Gumble What was it? Hardcore-punk really good Were they good? Fuck yeah !!! Were they nice? Sooooooooooooo nice people!!! :) Team’s sickness condition: Kiki and Simon are fine. Max still sick. Luc and Sam are fucking together all day long. Fun (or not) facts: #1: To go from Poland to Slovakia, you have to go through Czech Rep. You passes along the town Kanada (haha) and the Novy Borek. There (Novy Borek) is the most awful industrial complex I’ve ever seen there. You can go on Gogole Maps see how extended it is, and how … rusty it seems. It looks like the “Lambda Complex” of the video game Half Life. #2: We arrive at the Sered’ Kemping, and all the memories of the Ffud Fest are coming back in my head. The impatience, the rain, the depression, the awesome show … #3: Barney Gumble plays, and they’re fucking good. Way better than the time at Bunch Fest in Praha. They’re less wasted :) #4: Then it’s our turn to play. Lot of people are here for a week day. As I say “Hello we’re The Boring from France”, people are cheering us (first time we’re cheered without playing …!). We don’t disserve so much love, but we take it :) The show was good, people were singing and dancing so it was really cool. #5: We ended up the night with our friends in their rehearsal room, drinking Vodka and beers, learning bad words (what the Kurwa is going on? Was ist das “do pitchay”? … ☺ ), and making bad jokes. It felt like home!!! I don’t know know what else to say, I think I don’t have to say more, cause it was just perfect. DAY SEVEN – “The pigs came here to take everything” – 09.11.2011. Town: Lodz Place: Stylacja Pub Country: Poland Organizer: Romek Band(s) we played with: A.J.K.S. What was it? Violent hip-hop Were they good? Yeah Were they nice? Yeah Team’s sickness condition: Almost everyone OK, except Sam and Luc having syphilis. Fun (or not) facts: #1: This show is a support to the big anti-fa strike of the 11.11.11. #2: We’re happy to meet up Romek again and his girlfriend Magda. He was a bit stressed by the fact that some fascist could come and break a few windows and/or arms. But nothing happened. #3: The show is finally stopped by the police, because of a neighbour complain about the noise. So we cut 3 songs to finish a bit earlier and changed all the lyrics to say something like “fuck police, no more pigs …”. So our anti-fa show was cut by the police. How ironic? #4: The show ended, we made some new friends (Posi Ozzy ☺) we packed our stuff in the van, drank some vodka shooters in a bar, went with Romek for an epic drive to a liquor store, then went home, drank some more vodka and ate pickles, drank the pickles juice… I don’t remember everything … #5: Tomorrow we play in Zdunska Wola, 1h from Lodz, so we take our time. We wake up around 13h, take some coffee or so, spend some time in Romek’s flat. It’s 15h-15h30 when we finally got out to find something to eat … and we find a pizza place. Those pizzas are too fucking big. But we hate wastes so we finished everything. Too bad for our bodies ☺ DAY EIGHT – Pizza day – 09.11.2011. Town: Sdunska Wola Place: Variete Club Country: Poland Organizer: Pawel Band(s) we played with: Dzieci Z Beczek What was it? Crust-hardcore Were they good? Yeah Were they nice? Hell yeah Team’s sickness condition: Almost everyone OK. Luc and Sam are trying to adopt a child. Fun (or not) facts: #1: We entered the address into the GPS: 50km = 1h12 of road. We made it in 1h40. #2: Pawel welcomes us and asks if we’re hungry, cause the pizzas can be ordered if we want. He’s not kidding! #3: We play with a band from Lodz, called Dzieci Z Beczek. It means “Child in a barrel”, because that something that happened a few times in this area… It’s some good crust-hardcore with a girl singing. #4: We play after them, and the people are nice with our show. Afterfarwd, we still hang out in the bar, and after, we go to the motel Pawel booked. That’s our first time in a hotel on tour. As it’s the day before the polish independence day, the motel is a real mess, everyone’s drunk and screams out loud… we just try to take a sleep before our 7 hours of road…

DAY NINE – Shithead über alles! – 11.11.2011. Country: Germany Town: Erfurt Place: AjZ Organizer: Dany Band(s) we played with: Your world dies, Final Resistance, Defused What was it? Hardcore – german punk – swiss punk mohawk fashion Were they good? Yes – No – No Were they nice? Yes – No – No Team’s sickness condition: Everyone’s fine. Sam and Luc are going to be parents. Fun (or not) facts: #1: Four bands tonight, so four beers pack (48 beers). We had three (=three beers) #2: Four bands tonight, so 24 places to sleep. We had three. #3: Four bands tonight, but one Mohawk fashion crew spending more time to hairdressing their shit than playing music #4: One French band (us) and three german speaking bands, so a lot a german jokes (in german) about the French band #5: We totally speak german (Simon, Luc and me) so we did get everything #6: Thanks to Your World Dies for having had a nice chat with us, having made us some place to sleep, and not having took us for fools. That’s nice. #7: fuck fashion punkers but big thanks to Dany for having us for this last minute show! #8: AjZ is a fucking cool place! DAY TEN – Last show :(– 12.11.2011. Country: Germany Town: Detmold Place: Alte Pauline Organizer: Pepe Band(s) we played with: End is forever, Kazan !!! What was it? Hardcore-punk – post-hardcore-sexy-beat Were they good? Yes – Yes Were they nice? Not talked much but nice people yeah – No :) Team’s sickness condition: Everyone’s fine but fucking tired Fun (or not) facts: #1: Last show, so we’re a bit depressed, but everything went black fine so we’re happy. And happy to play with Kazan for this last show. It is nice having some good friends after a week touring “alone”. #2: First joke from Kazan: some wordplay with “redhead” that can be translated as “wheel” in French. Haha the night will be good. After a few beers and some bad jokes, it’s time to eat our last diner of the tour. It’s really spicy, and “fart creative”. #3: End is forever plays, good energy and good speeches between the songs. Kazan plays, it was better than every time I saw them before. #4: We play, good show even if we all feel the pain of the last 9 days … but people are into it, and dancing with a smile, so we’re fucking happy. We’re fucking Care Bears haha :) #5: We have to go home after the gig cause Sam is going on tour with another band immediately after that, so we embrace everyone, and go for a night ride…we arrive around 9h in Strasbourg, make a big gay brotherhood hug, and take some rest…we’re working tomorrow, the shift will be hard…

Again, big thanks to Sam for having saved the tour, big thanks to everyone who made us play, everyone who came up to the shows, and you for having read this report written in bad English.
