• Preheats, De-aerates and Dispenses Dissolution Media, Including Surfactants

Media Prep Station

The unit uniquely mixes, heats, and degasses dissolution media with surfactant concentrations as high as 3% at the rate of 8 liters in 15 minutes.

• Acid, Buffer, or Surfactant Mixing A second input channel for either Hydrochloric Acid (up to 36%), buffer, or surfactant is available, which permits the automatic mixing of media to the desired concentration, eliminating user error.

• Preheating of Media Test start-up time is reduced as the system preheats the media to the desired temperature, up to 45°C, with an accuracy of ±2°C.

• Highly Accurate Gravimetric Dispensing The unit exceeds all requirements outlined

Absolute Precision

in the USP or EP for dispensing accuracy (±1.0%), therefore eliminating error.

The DissoPrep X8 Media Prep Station operates in accordance with the guidelines of the USP and the EP, as well as GLP and GMP guidelines. Media is filtered, heated to the desired temperature, degassed under vacuum, mixed with up to 2 components, stirred, and precisely dispensed in individual volumes. All dispensing events are controlled by a precision load cell and the results are documented on an external printer or PC. The unit processes up to 8 liters of dissolution media within 15 minutes. Highly precise dispensing requires approximately 25 seconds per 1000 mL volume. With the internal 8L storage tank, media can be prepared while the dissolution test is running. The target dispensing volumes are user selectable between 150 and 8000 mL with 1 mL resolution.
