René Périnelli (*1945), 1er Prix du CNSM de Paris en 1970. Fixé à Marseille (soliste à l’Opéra, prof. au CNRR), il a réalisé une brillante carrière de soliste, chambriste et pédagogue en France et à l’étranger. Sa passion musicale éclectique et ses qualités techniques, lui ont permis de jouer avec les grands maîtres de la musique classique, du jazz et des variétés et se sont également exprimées dans de nombreuses publications. Ses amitiés, fidèles, stimulantes et enrichissantes, s’inscrivent dans ce qui fait l’identité et la force de l’école française de la trompette. Délicatement, Jean-François Dion transcrit ici en musique ce rapport professionnel soudé par l’amitié.

Pierre Laffitte (*1937, à Saint-Macaire, Gironde). Etudes musicales au Conservatoire de Bordeaux (1960, 1er prix) puis au CNSM de Paris (1964, 1er Prix). Trompettiste à la Musique de la Police Nationale, puis à l’Orchestre symphonique de la Garde Républicaine. Dès 1968 retour au pays natal comme trompette solo à l’Orchestre de Bordeaux-Aquitaine. Membre de l’Ensemble de Cuivres d’Aquitaine durant douze ans. Professeur au Conservatoire de région de Bordeaux. J.-F. Dion: «J’ai eu la chance d’avoir en Pierre Laffitte un premier collègue avec lequel s’est instaurée une solide amitié, une approche du métier stimulante, et de nombreux souvenirs... que j’évoque musicalement dans la pièce que je lui dédie.»

Bernard Soustrot, né en *1954 à Lyon, s’initie dès 8 ans à la trompette dans le cadre très musical de sa famille avant de suivre la filière Conservatoire de Lyon (9 à 15 ans) et CNSM de Paris, classe de Maurice André (1er Prix à l’unanimité). Premier engagement: trompette solo à l’Orchestre de la Radio à Stuttgart (Dir. Celibidache). S’ouvrent alors de belles perspectives pour lui en Allemagne. Pourtant, à 22 ans, il rentre en France, à l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France à Paris. En 1981 il se lance avec succès dans une longue carrière de soliste.

René Périnelli (*1945), 1st prize at the CNSM (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique) of Paris in 1970. Established in Marseille (Principal of the Opera orchestra and professor at the CNRR [Conservatoire National de Rayonnement Régional]), he had a brilliant career as soloist, chamber musician and teacher in France and abroad. His versatile musical passion and technical skill allowed him to play with the great masters of the classical music, with jazz or entertainment orchestras and to write articles for numerous music magazines. His faithful, stimulating and enriched friendships explain what makes the identity and the strength of the French School of Trumpet. JeanFrançois Dion transcribes René Périnelli’s professional relationships united with friendship in two well-written musical pages. Franck Pulcini (*1963), endowed with natural talent, developed his technique with the grand masters of his time. Admitted at the CNSM of Paris, he won his unanimously 1st Prize three years later. His feats as international competitions laureat openened the doors in famous orchestras conducted by world renown conductors. From 1995 to 2016 he was principal of the symphony orchestra of the SWF Broadcasting Orchestra in Baden-Baden (Germany) while pursuing in parallel a career as soloist and chamber musician (co-founder in 1994 of the well known Epsilon Brass Ensemble). Since 2014 he has been affiliated with the important institutions (CNRR and PSMBA) in the Bordeaux Aquitaine area.

In 1968 he returned to his native region as Principal of the Bordeaux Aquitaine Symphony Orchestra, member of the Brass Ensemble of Aquitaine, and teacher at the CNRR of Bordeaux.

Bernard Soustrot, born *1954 in Lyon, started the trumpet at the age of 8, within his music oriented family. He then followed the path via the Lyon Conservatory (9 to 15) and the CNSM Paris, concluding with an unanimously attributed 1st Prize in Maurice André’s class. First job as principal trumpet with the Stuttgart Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra (cond. Celibidache) which presented nice prospects for his career in Germany. Seine treuen, stimulierenden und bereichernden Freunschaften stehen für die Identität und die Stärke der französischen Trompetenschule. Taktvoll vertont Jean-François Dion hier seine berufliche und freundschaftliche Verbundenheit.
