On one occasion ‘Super Crack’ finished 2nd. National and was beaten by his son when both birds arrived together. Robert Venus bought this tremendous champion from Crusson in 1974, shortly after ‘Super Crack’ won 1st. National Barcelona and 1st. National Narbonne. Later he purchased the entire family of Super Crack birds from Crusson. Venus used the ‘Super Crack’ birds as the base for any long distance family he would introduce. One hen that proved an important addition was “Samantha Fox”. “Samantha Fox” was a dark hen and as a late bred yearling flew four 600 mile races in 21 days. “Samantha Fox” scored high in the prizes on each and continued to rack up top positions at the long distance for years.
