At the high end, Millennia Media has apparently had a difficult time making up their minds about tubes versus solid-state designs, so theyÕve given up the debate and launched their Twin Topology series. These processors offer both tube and Class A solidstate signal paths in one chassis. ThatÕs one way to solve the dilemma...the newest release in the series is the TCL-2 comp/limiter ($2,795). It will be interesting if this idea of combing the two technologies into one unit catches on with other manufacturers. ThereÕs an obvious benefit for users: For the price of, and in the space of, one unit, you get access to two different sounds and modes of operation.
