Javelin Aurora Main Packing Instruction Rev 0, 03/27/2017

NOTE: The Javelin Aurora is specifically designed for wing suiting and is NOT intended to be used for BASE jumping, formation skydiving, free flying, or any other similar skydiving activity other than wing suiting. Step 1. Pack main per manufacturer’s instructions up to this point.

Step 2. Roll top under to thicken and square off.

Step 3. Insert the canopy deeply into bag.

Step 4. Make first stacking S-fold no greater than half the length of the bag.

Step 5. Place in bag as shown. →

Step 6. Stand D-bag up, fold/roll remaining canopy fabric into bag as shown. ↓→

Step 7. Lay bag back down and close mouth-lock. Stow remaining lines in a figure 8 pattern.

Maintain kneeling pressure to top section of bag while stowing lines.

NOTE: Make the first figure 8 stow the entire length of the pocket. Make second figure 8 stow slightly shorter and so on.

Step 8. Close line cover as shown. →

Step 9. Flip main bag into container rotating 180 degrees. Line stows should be facing the reserve tray as shown. →

Step 10. Attach pull-up-cord to closing loop. Center the bag in the main pack tray and press it deeply into container.

Ensure bag is pushed past bottom BackPad stitching

Note: Main closing loop should be no longer than 1 ½” (30mm). 38 mm

Step 11. Close bottom and top flap as usual. Note position of Velcro on bridle. Bridle must come out from the bottom! Pile Velcro facing up under top-flap

Step 12. Before pulling side-flap closed, thread pull-up cord, then firmly push the bottom corner tab under the bag.

Use your knee to hold container closed.

Step 13. Repeat to opposite side and pin.

Step 14. Grip bridle and pin and close container as shown. →

Step 15. Pack pilot chute same as sport Javelin only much wider than usual. NOTE: The BOC spandex pouch also becomes the bridle cover.

Step 16. Close pin-cover same as sport Javelin.
