International Shooting Competition Tirano (Sondrio, Italy) 12/13th June, 2009

INTERARMA SONDRIO INTERNATIONAL SHOOTING COMPETITION “ISISC 2009” L’Istituto del Nastro Azzurro fra Combattenti Decorati al Valor Militare Federazione Provinciale di Sondrio (Italian association of veterans holders of war and service decorations Federation of Sondrio - Italy) supported by Unione Italiana Tiro a Segno, branch of Tirano (Sondrio – Italy), organizes Military International Shooting Competition called ISISC 2009.

MATCH 1 INVITATIONS AND ENLISTING The teams interested in joining the competition should send a pre-registration communication (by mail, fax or email) to the Secretariat of the Organization Committee, including data about team captain and the members. The competion will be limited to the first 25 registred teams. The pre-registration communication will have to reach untill the date of the 15/5/2009. ENLISTING FEES (shooters) There are different fees, including accommodation or not, as follow: • € 35: The fee include: Competition and lunch at ranges. •

€ 65: The fee include: Competition, lunch at ranges and Gala dinner in Tirano.

It will be a challenge to test the marksmanship of individuals and teams coming from national ad foreign defense organisations, both active and reserve.

€ 105: The fee include: Competition, lunch at ranges and Gala dinner plus hotel accommodation (in Tirano) for 2 nights (12th and 13th June) with 2 breakfasts.

The entire competion will take place on the sporting shooting ranges (Poligono di Tiro) in Tirano (Sondrio – Italy)

COMPETITION The competition will involve different shooting ability with different weapons. The competitors will only use the weapons provided by the organisation committee. The weapons will be: •

Rimfire rifle/carbine WHEIRAUCH cal. 22 LR – precision shooting at 50 meters (no scope allowed);

Pistol BERETTA mod. 98 FS, cal. 9x21 – rapid fire at 25 meters (duel);

•

ex ordnance rifle GARAND M1 cal. 308 - precision shooting at 100 meters (no scope allowed);

•

Autoloader/pump action shotgun FRANCHI mod. SPAS 15 cal. 12 – dinamic fire (team match)

ADMITTED TEAMS The team should be composed of 3 competitors and the team leader will be preferably officer or underofficer: At the competiton are admitted: • on duty national and foreign acknowledged (NATO or allied nations) armed forces; • reserve of national and foreign acknowledged (NATO or allied nations) armed forces;

REMARK: The fees must be paid upon arrival (no checks accepted) at : HOTEL CORONA , Viale Italia n°. 19 , Tirano (SO), tel : +39 0342 701266 fax +39 0342 706360 RANKINGS / AWARDS Will be awarded: • the first three shooters for matches n. 1 - 2 – 3; • the first three patrols in dynamic shooting match (n. 4); • the first five shooters in all-weapon category (weighted sum of scores in matches n. 1 - 2 - 3); • the first five teams in all-weapon category (weighted sum of scores in matches n. 1 - 2 - 3) DRESS AND EQUIPMENT Competition: combat dress without weapons. Gala dinner: mess dress or blues.

Practice: 1 target, 5 shots in 3 minutes, position at your choice; • Match 1a): 1 target, 10 shots in 5 minutes, standing position (support on two elbows allowed); • Match 1b): 1 target, 10 shots in 5 minutes, kneeling position (no artificial support to the weapon allowed). FINAL MATCH SCORE: SUM OF SCORES IN MATCHES 2A AND 2B (20 SHOTS) MATCH 2 Rapid fire at 25 m. (duel) with cal. 9 mm Pistol Weapon: Cal. 9x21 pistol, BERETTA mod. 98 FS •

Practice: 1 target, 3 shots in 3 minutes, position at your choice; • Match 2a): 5 shots on a single target appearing 5 times (each appearance will last for 3 seconds, then the target disappears for 7 seconds), standing position; • Match 2b): 10 shots on a single target appearing 5 times (each appearance will last for 3 seconds, then the target disappears for 7 seconds), standing position. FINAL SCORE: SUM OF MATCH SCORES (15 SHOTS)

MATCH 3 Precision shooting at 100 m. with “vintage” rifle Weapon: ex ordnance rifle GARAND M1 cal. 308 • 1 target, 100 m. 8 shots in 5 minutes, prone position. FINAL SCORE: SUM OF THE BEST 5 SHOTS Match 4 Dynamic shooting - Teams match Weapon: Autoloader/pump action shotgun FRANCHI mod. SPAS 15.

In order to improbe the competition and/or to adhere to new requirements about safety, the Organization could modify the programme reported in this brochure. Behaviours and equipments different from that stated in the official regulation are not allowed.
