Registered delegates may attend any session of ICWIM6 or NATMEC2012. The 6th International Conference on Weigh-In-Motion (ICWIM6) will be combined with NATMEC’2012, the North American Traffic and Monitoring Exhibition and Conference, on Improving Traffic Data Collection, Analysis, and Use. ICWIM have been held every three or four years since 1995, in Zűrich, Lisbon, Orlando, Taipei and Paris. NATMEC are held every two years, in North America. In 2012, ICWIM6 will be held in Dallas, Texas, as a series of dedicated sessions in parallel with the NATMEC2012 sessions, which will form a self-content conference. A few common plenary sessions will welcome keynote papers. Registration will be done for both conferences at once and delegates will be allowed to attend any session. Some options will be offered by ICWIM6 to the delegates. The conference is designed to address the broad range of technical issues related to heavy vehicles, surface transport and weight and size measurement systems, providing access to current research and best practices, freight analysis, and related policy issues. It is a multidisciplinary, inter-agency supported event.

The conference will cover all the topics concerning weigh-in-motion (WIM):

Objectives • Provide an international forum for WIM technologies, WIM standards, research, policy and applications. • Facilitate the meeting of manufacturers and users in an exhibition of WIM systems, sensors and related technologies. • Review new developments since the last International conference (ICWIM5).

Who Should Attend • Manufacturers, vendors and users of WIM systems, data, or related equipments and services. • Policy makers and agencies responsible for heavy vehicle operation and control, weight and size enforcement, road infrastructures design, construction and maintenance. • Agencies that use weight information to support freight mobility, safety and road pricing. • Researchers in WIM technologies, WIM data analysis, vehicle-road interaction and freight logistics. • Students in freight transport and road infrastructures.

Conference Languages The official language of the conference will be English. Final papers and posters must be provided in English, with abstracts in French (and in Spanish optional).

Proceedings and Awards Proceedings of the conference will be published, on CD (and paper if possible). Papers must be presented by one registered author to be published. There will awards for the best papers presented at the conference.

Fees Interested individuals are invited to attend the Conference. Early bird registration fee of US$ 490 is available to those who register before 7th March, 2012. Advance conference fee will be US$ 565 until May 7th and then US$ 640. Student fee are resp. US$ 190, 265 and 340.
