IN VERA'S BAGGAGE... As she is at the moment a resident at HÖFN, carrying on her work and writing on a film project, Vera Sölvadóttir, young Icelandic film maker, will present during this one and only evening (17th of June 2015, between 6.pm and 10.pm, at the école supérieure d’art in Aix en Provence, short films that she personnally chose as much from her own filmography, as other young Icelandic film director's... Vera (who speaks fluently French and English) will talk about those young icelandic film makers, answer all questions the audience will ask, and give us her vision and feelings about the state of the post 2008 Young Icelandic Cinema (after the dramatic economic crisis in Iceland...).

• Grímur Hákonarson* : Bræðrabylta (Wrestling), 2007 The national sport, called "Glima" in Iceland has got its own code of honour (« Drengskàpur »). It demands that the wrestlers exhibit fairness, respect and caring towards one another. Between the two main characters of the film, the wrestlers, an unspeakable relation forces its way, far beyond that... in the outback of Iceland...

HÖFN ASSOCIATION The HÖFN association (created in 2007), at the heart of the Northern Districts of Marseille, is a residence (opened in 2008-2009) for writing women and men : Icelanders, French and English speaking people. It might also offer a temporary shelter for artists playing, dancing, exhibiting... in Marseille or its surroundings. Those writing women and men may be of course writers, poets translators, but visual artists, theoricians, scholars, musicians, theater and cinema women and men(...) as well.
