In Memory of my dearest husband Thanh-long, Tran April 26, 1940 – January 26, 2015

I wanted to let each of you know that my husband, Long, passed away peacefully early the morning of January 26, 2015 at 2:15 am at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Mai- Lien Nguyen, his daughter Florence Tran, stepson, Vinh Tran, sisters Thu-Cuc Tran and her husband La Khon, brothers Ngoc-An Tran and his wife Christa Tran. As you all know, Long had a long and debilitating illness, so we are comforted by the fact that he is now at rest and relieved of his suffering. I ask that you please remember him in your thoughts and prayers. Long was born in Vietnam in 1940 and immigrated to France in 1964. In Paris, he studied medicine and graduated in 1974 with a medical degree in anesthesiology. He practiced anesthesiology and acupuncture in Luxembourg for 32 years. In March 2006 he retired and moved with his wife Lien to Springfield, VA. Long loved traveling and collecting artwork, gardening, reading and He spoke Vietnamese, French, Luxemburgish, German and English. Visitation: A viewing and visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Road, Fairfax, VA 22032 on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5-8:00 PM. Final Resting Place: Funeral services will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Fairfax Memorial Park.
