Login and download the template from blackboard. You may have to open Illustrator first and then go to file open from the menu above, as just double clicking on the swatch template file can sometimes prove problematic.

View/Show Rulers and drag guides around your life size watch. Delete the artwork on your life-size layer by selecting the circle target. Unlock all layers: drag along the layer pallet to demonstrate how to unlock layers easily
Unlock the “outline mask” layer and drag it to the “my concepts layer”. Mention that the my concepts layer must be visible and unlocked. Use the target icon and explain the square and plus sign’s functionality. Check that you have copied the layer successfully. Select all and go to Object/Clipping Mask/Make.
