Illek's Special Spells

It was designed to prevent traitorous Acolytes or under- cover agents from disclosing any of their knowledge, simply by crushing their mind. This “crushing” does.

The casting of the spell, summons several small vicious Void Entities from the far reaches of their home dimension. These Entities are not especially powerful but they come in shoals in much the same way as does the piranha. They are not even powerful enough to demand special deals or offerings to be made to them and indeed they are on the brink of what could be called mindless. The Entities are quite satisfied to be allowed to harm the inhabitants of this dimension and to be allowed to lick their blood and taste their suffering. And if the victim dies (which it very often do) the Entities are also allowed to get the soul.

IL L E K'S SP E C IA L SP E L L S These two Spells are the mindwork of my Archvillain Illek whom I felt needed a few special Spells of his own, in order to really! state what a vicious, evil character he is. The Spells are of course only known to him, and thus their effects are yet another of his calling cards, by which experienced adventures who have encountered him before can identify his handiwork.

Illek’ s TurnSkin Illek’ s Mind Crusher

Before the Entities go to work on the body of the intended victim, he is of course allowed a Magick Test as normal and if this is failed it is downhill the rest of the way. The Entities will surround the targeted victim in an invisible cloud and swirling around him, they will begin the slow painful process of removing his skin intact and turning him inside out at the same time. The entire process will take 6 turns and can be reversed for as long as less than half the time has passed  if the caster so orders it.

Illek's TurnSkin

Field of Magic: Daemonic Level: 3 Magic Points: 9 Range: 10 yards Duration: Permanent Ingredients: A knife inscribed with the ritual Runes of Summoning, a drop of Daemon ichor and the heart of any Good or Lawful person

The victim will of course suffer agonizing pain and harm on both body and mind (the nasty details are left to the GM's discretion). Every turn will be filled with pain as the Void Entities bend and break bone, turn muscles and rip sinew in order to turn the victim inside out. Each turn the victim will suffer D2 Wounds in damage on all location, gain D10 Psychosis-Points / D3 Insanity Points and lose 1 point of Strength. When the victim's Strength score reaches zero, all his bones will crack. When the fourth turn begins, the process can no longer be reversed and the Entities begin the final stage as they begin to press the victims legs up through his body and out through his mouth, soon to be followed by the rest of the anatomy. Finally, in the sixth turn the Entities will pull the undamaged skin off the victim (who may still be alive due to some hellish device of the Entities) and lay it before the feet of the summoner, before disappearing back into their own dimension.

This spell is a particularly nasty piece of work - very appropriate considering the person who invented it. Illek has been known to disguise himself as other by pulling off their skin and dressing himself in it. Once he could only do so after administrating his surgical skills to the skin of the victim  a process which was very time consuming. After a while, he determined that a quicker process was needed for that special kind of work. Having done some research, Illek soon concluded that the only field of magic which could provide him with the result he needed was that of Daemonology. After months of experimentation, Illek finally emerged with a spell which was completely unique to himself. Not only did it provide him with the ready-to-use skin of his victim but it also killed the victim in a horrible slow way, which also made the spell fit for torturing as the effects could be reversed up to a certain point.

Illek's MindCrusher

Field of Magic: Battle Level: 3 Magic Points: 8 Range: 48 yards Duration: Permanent Ingredients: A surgical knife, a vial of alcohol, a silver hammer, brain tissue from a Jabberwock and the claw of any fantastic monster or Daemon This is another spell invented by that fiend Illek. It was designed to prevent traitorous Acolytes or undercover agents from disclosing any of their knowledge, simply by crushing their mind. This “crushing” does not involve the death of the target  that would be far to easy  he is simply left a living vegetable who cannot possibly lead a normal life ever again. The Spell completely locks the mind and brain of the victim, giving neither victim nor outsiders any access. Any magical attempts to read the mind of the victim will reveal nothing but white noise. Random patterns of white, grey and black, occasionally fragments of memory too incoherent to understand and probably a vague image of the person who cast the spell on the victim and the last frantic seconds before he was hit by the full effect. No medical treatment of any kind can heal the state of the victim and no magical treatment has ever been invented. The victim is of course allowed a Magic Test to throw off the effects of the spell directed against him. If this is failed the full force of the spell invades his mind and crushes it completely. Intelligence and Will Power are instantly reduced to zero and only the reflexes of the mind keeps the body in working condition. The victim will simply tumble to the ground in a magically induced catatonic coma and remain there until someone picks him up. In order to stay alive, he must be fed his food and water by others. No one has ever returned from this state of being.
