How-To: Mini Aux Port Procede at you own risk Parts Needed: 3- 24" 24guage wire 1 - 1/8 Stereo Jack (Radio Shack Part Number 274-249) Wire Cutters Soldering Iron Electrical Tape Utility Knife Drill with bit size of the 1/8 jack top

First: Follow the how to on how to remove the pillars, and head unit.

Second, Be brave enough to not want to use the CD-Changer, and cut the 3 wires that go to the white Plug on the back of the Head Unit. This will become your new adapter for the Aux Port. Once Cut, remove it from the back of the stereo. On the left side with the wires away from you, you will notice a key notch. With the utility knife, remove this notch

Once that notch is removed, Pull the inside black portion of the wire connector out, and using the end of the knife blade to push the little metal tab, pull the wires out one by one. Now put the Brown/White wire into slot 3, the Red/White into slot 4, and the Blue/White

into slot 10 on the Connector.

Extend the wires by soldering one of the 24 gauge wire to each of the 3 wires. Take the switch panel apart taking car to keep the switches facing down so as not to drop all the little pieces inside. Run the wire through the middle hole, and through the open switch area and pull thought with enough slack to allow soldering. Solder the Blue/White wire to pin 1 on the stereo jack. the Brown/White goes to pin 2, and the Red/White goes to pin 3 with the drill, drill a hole in the center of the unused switch panel, so that it will be the right size for the stereo jack. Push the end of the jack through, and secure with the provided nut. Close every thing back up the way you took it apart, and be sure to make the wire tight in the switch panel, and not touching anything. Also make sure to have covered bare metal with the electrical tape.

Run the adapter portion in through where the switch panel is, the wire will stick out just a bit on the bottom, but is impossible to see, and then screw the switch panel back in place. Put the black portion of the adapter back into the white portion making sure to follow the arrow in the insertion. Put the adapter on the right side of the input block on the back of the stereo, and proceed to put every thing back together. You will now have a working Aux Port with auto sense.
