During the preparation session to observe asteroid (11264) Claudiomaccone, I realized images of this object on October 10, 2012. By analyzing these images Raoul Behrend indicates the presence of two objects fainter than Claudiomaccone.
He named COM001 and COM002 these two asteroids. Of course we tried to find these two objects on our image of October 11th 2012, but only COM002 was still there.
Raoul Behrend sent to MPC measurements performed on these two objects, it also calculates the ephemeris for COM002 to observe it again, I immediately contacted Sarah Roberts and Nick Howes if they can observe as soon as possible. On my side, I have not observed with FTS before October 23 but unfortunately I could not find COM002... Meanwhile, the MPC analysis measures that have been transmitted and identifies COM001 as the asteroid 2012Q35B already observed in last August and appears to be related to an object observed in 2010, the discovery eludes us ... We still have not answer for COM002. If the MPC had been identified we have already warned, we must wait a little longer before we know if we have discovered a new asteroid
