Downloading the VPN Client 1. Close all Windows applications. You will need to copy the file to your system before running the installation. Please do not try to run the installation from our file server. 2. Click on the following link to open the folder for the VPN Client download: file://genesys_europe/dfs/install/Software/Public/Cisco VPN/4.8

3. Right-click on the file "VPNClient_4.8.zip" and select . Paste the file into a folder on your system: i.e. your Desktop, or create a folder on your "C:" drive and right-click to paste the file there. We also recommend copying the instructions located in the same folder.

Installing the VPN Client You should close all programs before starting the installation. You must also disconnect any active VPN connections. You may temporarily lose your network connection during the installation of the VPN Client. 1. Once the download is complete, go to the folder where the file is saved (i.e. , ,).

3. Once the files are extracted, open the new folder "VPNClient_4.8" and double-click on "Setup.exe"

4. If you have an existing version of the client, you will receive a Question window with a prompt to uninstall the older version of the client before continuing. Click to continue. If you do not have an existing version of the client installed, please skip to step #7.

Once the installation is complete, you will get a prompt to reboot. Select "Yes" and click to reboot

Using the client Create a shortcut on the desktop for your connection 1. Go to to open the program 2. In the VPN Client, locate your closest connection: "Genesys-Brisbane-AU" = primary Australia, "Genesys-DalyCity-US" = primary USA "Genesys-Munich-DE" = primary Germany "Genesys-Paris-FR" = primary France "Genesys-SaintJohn-CA" = primary Canada “Genesys-Tokyo-JP” = primary Japan “Genesys-WalnutCreek-US” = backup USA “Genesys-Wokingham-UK” = primary UK

3. Right-click on your connection and select "Set as Default Connection Entry"

4. Right-click on your connection again and select "Create Shortcut". A shortcut for your default entry will be placed on the desktop 5. In some cases, your previous client’s connection entries may be listed in the new client. You can delete them by right-clicking on the entry and selecting “delete”. You should also delete any old VPN client desktop shortcuts, e.g. "Genesys VPN" or "Genesys IPsec" 6. To connect to the Genesys network, double-click on the shortcut on the desktop. When prompted, enter your Genesys network username and password. Once connected, you will receive a security confirmation indicating that you successfully connected to the Genesys network.

7. To disconnect, right-click on the VPN Client yellow lock icon in the task bar, and click "Disconnect"
