This course uses Blackboard for the posting of course content, interactions among students, and the submission of assignments. Homework (usually an audio recording in French) will be assigned 6 times during the semester (weeks 1-2; weeks 9-12). Each assignment will be given for a period of one week, from Monday until Sunday. This will give you an opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned from the required readings and other course content provided by the instructor, as needed. An evaluation rubric will be provided in Blackboard. Discussion Board interactions will be assigned 3 times during the semester (weeks 4, 6, and 6). Each assignment will be given for a period of one week, from Monday until Sunday. This will give everyone an opportunity to discuss the assigned content. An evaluation rubric will be provided in Blackboard. A research project will be assigned during weeks 13, 14, and 15 of the semester. For this project, you will write a paper following the model that you will be required to use for the comprehensive exams (5-7 pages, double-spaced, 1" margins on all sides).
