WHAT’S UP ON THE WHITE PLANET ? Understanding the decline of ice and its consequences Authors: Bernard Francou and Christian Vincent Specifications: 144 colour pages Format : 142 x 225 mm Hardcover Retail Price France: 15.50 Euros June 2015

An alarming evidence of increasing temperatures, melting of glaciers and sea levels In November 2014, the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) published its latest Assessment Report. The conclusion is as feared, the rise of temperature cannot be questioned. However, the report shows differences depending on the region of the world. Not all regions undergo the same changes at the same pace. Ice is the most sensitive indicator of climate change. Bernard Francou and Christian Vincent, renown scientists tell us the latest news of the cryosphere which undertakes dramatic climate changes with complex and alarming outcomes for the glaciers and ice fields. There are a number of consequences that can result from the decline of ice. The authors try to answer the many questions this situation creates. They describe the many scenarios global warming may lead to and study the impact of human development. ---------------------------------------------Bernard Francou is a glaciologist, professor emeritus at the IRD (Institut de Recherche pour le Développement) at the University of Grenoble. He published articles in the most renowned scientific reviews and published several books on high mountains environment, climate and glaciers. Each concerning road goes along with pictures and suggestions. ------------------------------------------Anne Bialek is an engineer who fell in love with Bolivia during a trip. Since 2006, she has been living in this country in order to combine work and passion. She travels a lot and visits the Andes, the Bolivian and Ecuadorian peaks. THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MONTAINS OF THE WORLD Claude Gardien (text)

Specifications: 216 pages 27.4 x 37 cm Hardback Retail price France: 49.50 € Publication date November 2014

A breathtaking inventory of the most magnificent summits of the world. Every man is different, every mountain is unique. This book reflects the bond between men and mountain and is by essence subjective and non-exhaustive… but absolutely true and sincere. High mountains have a wild beauty that is fascinating whether one wants just to admire them or to dream of conquering them. But there are still some which have never been seen: the inventory is not yet complete. Every year brings new, unknown silhouettes and new stories where some gives the best of themselves. This magnificent book, illustrated by the best photographers of the world, invites you to discover this new, inexhaustive, inventory. High mountain guide, enthusiastic rock climber and skier, writer, journalist and photographer, Claude Gardien is editor in chief of Vertical, a bi-monthly magazine published in French, English, German and Italian. Born in Dijon, Claude Gardien discovered rock climbing in the hills of Burgundy. He progressed from Mont Blanc to the Himalayas, moving from snow to rocks, from deserts to glaciers, from adventurous expeditions to writing and teaching about the history of mountaineering.

Michel-Jack Chasseuil has collected over 40,000 of the best French and international vintages, some of which are over two centuries old, leading a frenetic treasure hunt full of excitement and unexpected encounters. Revealed to the world through nine foreign editions, his collection has woken up international grands crus owners’ curiosity as well as state polities. Michel-Jack Chasseuil, who has created a public foundation, has one obsession: turn this collection into a prestigious museum. Michel Chasseuil describes wine as a “passion which turned into a religion”. For years, he kept his collection hidden from the wine establishment. He has now chosen to reveal it for our greatest delight. Photographer Jacques Caillaut works for several French lifestyle magazines for which he prepares decoration and cookery reports. Michael Broadbent, British wine critic and writer, is especially well known for his authority on wine tasting and old wines. He has written many books on the subject.

1855 – THE BORDEAUX WINE OFFICIAL CLASSIFICATION Jean-Charles Chapuzet (Text) English text available available, translated by wine specialist Jane Anson. Guy Charneau (Photography) Specifications: 240 pages 24.5 x 32.8 cm Hardback with a jacket Retail price in France: 49.90 € Publication date October 2014 Inside this sumptuous illustrated book hides the history of the world’s most famous wines, which have made Bordeaux’s reputation and certainly France as a whole. In 1855, Emperor Napoleon III requested a classification system for France’s best Bordeaux wines which were to be on display for the visitors from around the world. The wines were ranked in importance from first to fifth grows (“crus”). All the red wines that made it on the list came from the Médoc region except for one: Château Haut-Brion from Graves. The white wines, then of much less importance than red wine, were limited to the sweet varieties of Sauternes and Barsac and were ranked from first growth to second growth. The classification has become timeless. Its authority remains intact and has even grown stronger with the globalization of the trade of great wines. Which wine amateur from around the world has not heard of Lafite-Rothsilde, Yquem, Haut-Brion, Margaux, Latour or Mouton-Rotshild? Bearing in mind that the Grands Crus Classés have brought a universal language: wine tasting. 87 châteaux of the Bordeaux wine region have the privilege of having the “Grand Cru Classé 1855” label stamped on their bottles. In this book, you will find the history of the region, of the men, of the products which have all contributed to the making of a great wine bottle. You will read the philosophy of these creators of exceptional “crus”. You will discover through pictures the beauty and diversity of this French heritage which people from all around the world come and visit each year. The wine world, the wine in the world has seized 1855 as such, as the first of the kind, as the manifestation of luxury, as the timeless brand: it represents French exception. In this respect, the Grands Crus Classés are candidates to the UNESCO world classification of intangible cultural heritage. ----------------------------------------------The grandson of a brandy distiller, deputy mayor in the Charente-Maritime region of France, JeanCharles Chapuzet is a journalist and author specialized in wine. He majored in history and writes today for several professional wine magazines, after a few years working for Le Figaro and Le Figaro littéraire. He also intervenes in geopolitics and wine at the famous INSEEC school of Bordeaux.

THE GREAT BOOK OF HAPPINESS Foreword by Christophe André Introduction by Alexandre Jardin Articles by : Christophe André, Alexandre Jardin, Marie-Laurence Grezaud, Ilona Boniwell Several short texts by David Foenkinos, Yann Queffelec, Irène Frain, François Bégaudeau… In partnership with Psychologies Magazine 368 pages Format: 195 x 228 mm Published in October 2015 Price France: 25.00 Euros

A book to learn how to seize the everyday pleasure: take the most of life thanks to simple things, lighten life with a laugh, let go thanks to meditation and get stronger thanks to the philosophers. So many ways to thrive with one’s heart, body and mind. Be happy is something that one has to decide of and work on. Inspired from positive psychology, the process is fairly simple: instead of focusing on our flaws – which is a burden – let’s celebrate good news, great initiatives and one’s qualities. Happiness is a personal feeling which needs to be shared and nurtured. This does not prevent us from rough patches and misfortune. But this book will help you see the light in the darkness and make this light grow always brighter. ------------------------------------------Christophe André is a psychiatrist working at the Saint-Anne Hospital in Paris. André is a specialist of emotions. His books are international best sellers. Alexandre Jardin is French writer. His novel are best sellers and he has won several literary awards. Marie-Laurence Grezaud is a journalist and editor-in-chief of the magazine Cuisine Naturelle (Natural cooking). Dr Ilona Boniwell is one of the most prominent positive psychologists, having founded the first Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP) in Europe at the University of East London.
