Ferrino Todomodo Regular Poncho
This is the Ferrino Todomodo poncho:
A poncho made from aluminium coated polyester cloth (on the inside only, but it is reversible). It is heat insulating, light reflecting. Waterproofness is insured by taped seams.
Practical snap fastener along the border permits two ponchos to be joined together (or the same poncho to be closed).
Provides a hood and a pocket,which is transformable into a pouch for transport.
The border also has loop holes, for use as a tarp, there are three on any lenght.
It can be used as a flying tarp tied to trees, an emergency ground bivouac, using wooden poles, a lean-to roof, for rain protection, and simultaneous heat reflection, as a heat reflector, in your back, when you face a fire, as an emergency blanket, making use of the aluminium coating refletive propeties, as an emergency signal by reflection of light on a big surface, as a water collector, and of course last but not least, as a waterproof poncho.

I have yet to use it more to find it's defects, but I have had a 2 places mountaineering tent from the same maker, using the same material, and it is GREAT! This stuff is totally waterproof, very resistant to tension, for its weight, does not delaminate, is moderately sensible to friction and abrasion, and is really heat reflecting. Light reflection is less obvious, as the effect is rather that of a mate aluminium finish.
The front pocket is a5 size (1/ letter or A4 format), but it is designed to contain it packed without care, so if you fold it properly, you will get between by 1 and 2 cm uncompressible thickness ( 2/5 to 4/5" ), then roll the pocket, you get a 20 cm long roll for 8 cm diameter.

Ferrino Todomodo Regular Poncho The price is good, 35 Euro, The weight is good, the dimensions are alright for a personal use. This looks like a great product. I now carry it everyday, everywhere.
It seems there are two sizes, Todomodo Regular and Todomodo, the Regular being the larger and bigger one.
Post-scriptum :More soon, after more in-depth testing, there is a lot to do to test this kind of equipment!
