I use notebooks with white sheets for my pictures. Then I ink them before adding the color with PhotoShop CS.

When you're a beginner one of the best ways to check proportions in your pictures is using a compass you can check the size of every part of the body.

¾ View Basically the difference is the hair and the cheeks, the hair is a blessing because it's more easy to draw. Start drawing the guide lines and try to place the eyes at the same level. Important check the ear in the AGU characters is placed a little bit lower of the eyes.

In a front view, Kimi's head has the shape of a square (remember this's season 1 Kimi) one important thing is the nose, look even when the character is in a front position her nose is in a side position. The hair is short, remember the position of the hair in the ¾ view of Kimi's face. Also be careful with the distance of the eyes.

The "back view" is easy, you only need to check the ear position and the hair, look the size of the ear and the little piece of nose just below teh curve. The hair starts just below the line of the head, don't place the hair over that line Ok?
NO ! Back View The side view is probably one of the most difficult things to draw in AGU characters, let's face it, every characters have a different head shape so it's hard to draw the correct proportions, it takes a lot of practice to do it good.
