discovering eco-humanism In an Eco-humanist collectivity, we do not grow rich financially, we do much better, we grow rich of multiple social links and multiple social profits.

An Eco-humanist contributes, at best and by priority, to the protection and to the improvement of his/her big family, the human species, in its society and in its environment.

We feel good in our mind, and in a big family where everybody can be useful and protected. There, is no oppression, thanks to a real direct democracy, and no poverty, thanks to a real sharing of resources. It is so beautiful humanely that we are pushed to build and to defend that with all the necessary courage.

ECO-HUMANIST MANIFESTO

We, human beings, by our progress from generation to generation, built the most prodigious and improbable living system of our known universal environment : our own system, Humanity. It became a particularly intelligent evolutionary form of the known living substance, whose adventure and destiny can be exceptional in our universal environment. Because as far as it is carried by a great self-developped project, the human destiny cannot be undergone passively nor written beforehand. Our collective will has a major role in it. Project is the most evolved expression of the human consciousness, capable of valuing in proactive synergy the intuition, the knowledge, the imagination, and the will, of our species. And the organized collective power of our species is the most prodigious impacting living power known. It becomes all the more powerful and capable as it can integrate and gather beings, groups, and social structures, and we even cannot determine any more scientifically its limits in the reached conditions of auto-development. As long as it can regenerate and strengthen constantly, and except accident, its development and its perenniality are potentially immense. Eco-humanism thus incites to an autocorrection of the human species, which has to improve permanently its culture and its means, to strengthen during its internal and external interactions. It is in this sense that Eco-humanists search and express with dignity the best possible exemplarity, and that they watch actively for the societal quality of Humanity, as well as for the cohesion of its collective will. Eco-humanists regret obviously the occasional failures of Humanity, but because they admire its exceptional evolutionary power and its potential of improvement, and because they like what it is capable of being, they contribute to that it becomes so. And they demonstrate by their example that what brings one of the biggest happiness is what we do and what we share with other human beings, in order that the personal interest and the public interest are reciprocally satisfied. Making prevail bravely in it values of justice, sharing, solidarity, and permanent correction, eco-humanists are proactive actors of the great natural evolutionary project of their species. They know that for every human being personally, and more for all Humanity collectively, every well lived day is a victory against bad lot, adversity, accident. It is a definitive gain, nothing being able to change the past. But every episode of misfortune, suffering, destruction, imposed on Humanity or on any group or person, is also unchangeable. Eco-humanists thus want to do everything so that human beings could take advantage of the benefactions of life as long as possible, by getting organized effectively to avoid and surmount in solidarity their misfortunes and possible accidents, and by developing together as good as possible in their environment. For that purpose, it is necessary to dare to know and to know to dare, in order notably to prevent all beliefs and behaviours opposite to the general interest of Humanity. CHARTER of SOCIETAL PRINCIPLES Preamble. Humanity follows first and foremost its own will and its own interest It tends to strengthen in a supra-ensemble federating all its forces in a solidary community, where no part harms the whole, and where every part contributes to the well-balanced strengthening of the whole. The necessities of its protection in its environment and in its society, integrated into its laws, oblige then every part. In these conditions, federative universal principles found the rules and models, and give them a sense, insisting particularly on the intrasocietal values most useful for the improvement and the survival of the species, such as respect, justice, sharing, solidarity, permanent self-correction.

● The general rule is to contribute permanently to the survival and to the happiness of the human species, and to the optimization of its development, by its organization, its information, and its resilience, implying in particular to : ● Protect without limit, and first and foremost, Humanity, united in its diversity, every of its members being equal to others in rights and in duties, and free of their personal beliefs, whose expression however must not go against the human general interest (1). ● Know as best as possible all beings, things, and strengths, of the environment; adapt to it permanently; free and educate the human thought for managing at best appearance and uncertainty; prevent, correct, and punish, any corruption of information. ● Manage well the environment in which and by which the human species develops, without exhausting, poisoning, or destroying, the biotope useful and protective for the species, regardless of the place where we live; optimize health and safety in every human structure. ● Respect and uphold everywhere, locally and globally, the limits of development allowing the best possible societal and environmental balance, with an adequate demography. ● Favor the improvement, defense, and transmission of the humanity’s heritage for the benefit of following generations; develop knowledges and tools with caution and determination. ● Be structured, and help children to be structured, to live as well as possible in the human society; give always the best example; optimize the quality of education and information for everybody. ● Deserve to be respected and respect reciprocally others; have the right to make mistakes in counterpart of the duty to correct, to repair, and to deserve trust; do everything so that nobody not culprit, or discharged, feels harmed living in the human society.

● Share fairly the public resources, and those of collective utility, among all the federated human beings and groups; favour the best possible cooperation among them all; prevent and punish in the hardest and most dissuasive way any anti-human predation or abuse of sharing. ● Live free and united among other free and united human beings, exchange with them as much sympathy and mutual aid as possible; contribute at best to the resources of public interest; prevent and punish any cornering, cheating, abuse, of the public authority and resources, as well as any excessive private disposal of shares of wealth. ● Get organized and organize the human society privileging always its general interest; neither suffer nor make suffer from any authority, power, constraint, or behavior, going against that; provide the public governance by drawing lots of capable volunteers; prevent any organization of powers not modifiable at any time by a direct reaction of citizen majority. ● Strongly fight any illegitimate aggression or threat, by mobilizing all adequate capacities of defense of itself and of the community; participate in the defense and in the improvement of the laws as long as they do not go against the human general interest or against the connected fundamental rights and duties.

Freedom of conscience and personal beliefs must be guaranteed, but however not against the superior general interest of the human society, what implies in particular that any behavioral model, religion, dogma, which unless the cases of justifiable reaction in defense of Humanity and its fundamental rights, has for consequence a violence among human beings, their endangerment, or a social conflict, by its principles or its practice, must be strictly forbidden and made non-transmissible. THE HISTORICAL trajectorY OF Eco-humanism. Eco-humanism is the structured expression of a major cultural current, built up gradually over thousands of years, originally from Indo-European contributions of vedic tradition. Its historical development was initiated by the philosophical physicist School of Miletus (Asia Minor), founded in the early 6th century BC by Thales of Miletus, the first known theorist and promoter of scientific humanism. This current was strengthened in particular by Stoic and Epicurean contributions. Its formulations were passed on and adapted by its multiple heirs, during the Greek antiquity, then in the Roman period, then in the European Renaissance, then in the Century of Lights (18th ), in the domains of science, politics, economy, and finally, since the 19th century, of ecology. This current of thought without borders was continuously corroborated, intersected, enriched, including Asian contributions derived also, directly or indirectly, from Vedic traditions (including contributions Hindu, Buddhist, Zen, Taoist, Confucian, etc.). Known under the generic name of humanism in the 19 th century, this multicultural philosophical current particularly benefited since the 15th century of the invention of printing, allowing therefore many followers to participate in the societal progress, and in return, to receive from them more and more varied and enriching contributions. After its distinction in the 20th century under the name of scientific or naturalistic humanism, then of eco-humanism, this current benefits now from the development of computing and Internet networks, allowing to interest more new followers in what was an exceptional evolutionary phenomenon : a natural project of self-development and survival of the human species, generated and improved in the course of the centuries by the collective global brain of Humanity. Modern eco-humanism is a vector of transmission and sharing, and a catalyst of the possible, of this societal heritage-project, which cannot be confiscated or diverted, but to which every human being can contribute, watching that its content and its use stay in the general interest of Humanity.

In every opportunity, receive and give as usefully as possible. Except in case of defense or of legitimate sanction, enjoy the benefit of your life and of your environment without undergoing, nor making undergo harm, to others or to yourself. Sow around you happiness and help, share the fruits of that. Avoid conflict and opposition when you can do it without cowardice. Connect in solidarity to others by reciprocal cooperation and sharing.

Eco-humanism is not the own of a sect, a political party, or a religion. No church, either apparatus of power, or dogma, locks it. This great natural cultural current belongs to everybody for more than 26 centuries. Everyone can freely learn, understand, express, and pass on, this multi-cultural historical heritage, which has already proven its value by perpetuating and improving until us. It is not a ready-to-think ideology, it is a guide of construction of open, well educated, well informed, human minds, able of contributing together to the functioning of a collective brain having for goal the happiness, the development, and the survival, of the human species. If someone understands that the internal non-confliction and the intelligent union of the whole human species are a necessity of survival, that it is necessary to cooperate, to share our resources, as best as possible, if he wants that, he is already eco-humanist, without having to ask permission to anyone else. There are works and books, in several languages, writen about eco-humanism in its modern form, and many ancient writings are notable precursors of it. But the most used reference is the Marc Carl's book "The great human project ", proposed in versions printed by different publishers, and in free electronic versions. Once the basics are understood enough, everybody is free to make the best use of it, by developing his own expression and by participating in the transmission and in the improvement of an eco-humanism without borders, intrinsically attached to the general interest of humanity. For this, it's better to get well organized collectively. Everyone can join an eco-humanist structure of his own choice or take the initiative to create a new one, in particular under associative status. It is also possible to constitute a network of affinities among several structures, and to coordinate this network with other networks. Statutes, advices, starting helps, are supplied free of charge by installed structures to the new applicant structures. Then, each one can do his best to feel useful, knowing that initiative, openess to others, cooperation, sharing, are particularly motive and enriching eco-humanist behaviors. Good luck to all !
