Pénétrez dans l’ancien cloître des chanoines (bibliothèque municipale) pour découvrir l’original de l’Encyclopédie, la cour de l’ancien collège des Jésuites ou encore la Tour de Navarre pour admirer 20 reproductions de planches de l’Encyclopédie. Partagez enfin un moment convivial autour d’une dégustation au goût du siècle des Lumières. Follow the guide to discover as a family all of the emblematic monuments of Langres, tinged with the ambiance of the XVIII century. Relive the philosopher’s childhood, his years of study, his missed religious vocation… Visit the former cloister of the canons (municipal library) to discover an original Encyclopedia, the courtyard of the former Jesuit college or again the Navarre Tower to admire reproductions of the plates of the Encyclopedia. Enjoy a friendly atmosphere with a tasting of the flavors of the Enlightenment…

Avec un audio-guide - With an audio-guide Un circuit de découverte thématique « Sur les traces de Diderot » vous permet, en 28 étapes, d’aborder l’intimité du philosophe dans sa ville natale (vie de famille, maisons d’enfance et de famille, collège des Jésuites, Diderot et les Langrois, Langres au XVIIIe s, l’Encyclopédie, la Maison des Lumières, la fontaine de la Grenouille…). A themed discovery tour “Following the Footsteps of Diderot” will allow you to become intimate with the philosopher in his native city in just 28 stages (get to know his family life, childhood homes and family houses, the Jesuit college, Diderot and the Langrois, Langres in the XVIII century, the Encyclopedia, the House of the Enlightenment, the Frog’s Fountain). Disponible toute l’année aux horaires d’ouverture de l’Office de Tourisme, 3€.

Grand format reproductions and Encyclopedic plates echo the touristic riches of the Pays de Langres.
