• Required Documents: 9 Photo-copy of the Passport (personal data page & visa page) 9 4 passport photos 9 A letter from your home embassy in Damascus certifying that the embassy has no objection that you register in the Center. 9 Certified Photo-Copy of your AIDS test results from the AIDS Laboratory in Damascus*. 9 Filling in the application form provided by the Office of Registration & Students' Affairs (ORSA) in the Center, room nr. B-24, ground floor. •

Instructions for Registration: - Registration is done strictly in person. The center has no representatives outside Damascus University. Your only source of information is the ORSA. -Enrollment is completed after arrival to Damascus by presenting all the Required Documents to the ORSA and paying the required fees in cash during the registration period. (We will not accept incomplete applications). -* The ORSA will provide you with a letter to the AIDS Laboratory which will exempt you from paying the test fee. The AIDS Laboratory “Markaz Fahes Al AIDS” is located in Zablatany st. - Some of the required documents, such as the Letter from the Embassy and the AIDS test, may take at least two days to be issued from the relevant authority. Make sure you have all these documents ready before the registration dead-line.

• Placement Test: - All new students, except absolute beginners, should take a placement test before the beginning of the course to determine his/her exact level according to the Center's course system. Returning students should take the test only if more than 4 months have passed since their last enrollment. - The Placement Test fee is 500 SP. - The date of the placement test is set during the registration. - Students may take the PT before presenting all registration documents to the ORSA.

• Classes: Sunday to Thursday. (except for the 1st, 3rd, 5th and the 10th courses: one or two classes on Saturday will be added to the course to complete the course's total hours) Class size: 8-20 students. (Ask the ORSA for Information regarding the special programs offered at the center, and the Arabic for Specific Purposes Program after the Advanced Arabic Studies Courses)
