Global Knowledge European Remote Labs Cisco IIUC2 Semi-Remote Lab Classroom Equipment Requirements Router 1 x Cisco 2811 Router (Class-side Tunnel VPN Router), Containing: 1 x PVDM2-32 Voice DSP Module Up to 5 x VIC-4FXS/DID modules or equivalent (see note) The IOS Operating System must be capable of supporting Voice and VPN. The recommended IOS Version is: c2800nm-adventerprisek9_ivs-mz.124-15.T3.bin Switch 1 x Cisco 3550 or 3560 Layer 3 Switch (Class-side Switch) Requires minimum 24 port switch, should provide either PoE or Cisco PWR for the IP phones. Alternatively, separate power supply packs may be used to power the phones. The IOS Operating System must be capable of supporting VRF routing. The recommended IOS Versions are: c3550-i5q3l2-mz.121-22.EA4a.bin (or later) c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-44.SE.bin Phones 4 x Cisco IP 7961 Phones per Rack (4 Delegates) (12 x 7961 IP Phones in total would be required for a full 12 delegate course). 2 x SIP Phones (Linksys SPA942 recommended) per Rack (4 Delegates) alternatively 2 x Cisco 7961 IP Phones running in SIP mode (6 x SIP Phones in total would be required for a full 12 delegate course). 6 x Analogue Phones per Rack (4 Delegates) (18 Analogue Phones in total would be required for a full 12 delegate course). Internet Connection 512Kbps Internet Link minimum (1Mbps min. preferred) – a Leased Line or Frame Relay link is recommended as DSL bandwidth can vary in use (uplink speed is the main limit with DSL). Low bandwidth links will affect both the quantity and quality of the telephone calls made as part of the lab exercises. Note: The GK EMEA Remote Labs are setup as discrete 2 Pod Racks. A course will consist of 1, 2 or 3 Racks, as required. Each rack requires 6 analogue phones and corresponding FXS ports, so a 12 delegate course would require 18 phones and 18 FXS ports. The number and type of FXS modules used can be tailored to the class size. (Supplied configs assume 6 x VIC-4FXS/DID modules). Configuration files to connect the classroom equipment via a VPN connection and suitable for use with the above recommended equipment, will be supplied along with access details, prior to the course. Other routers, switches and modules types can be used to give the required equipment provision, however the supplied configuration files will need to be amended locally to reflect the differing hardware and port addresses. GK Remote Labs cannot be held responsible for lack of connection to the rack(s) due to incorrect modification of any configuration files.
