Engineer and Ph.D. in Behavioral Animation and Virtual Reality Work Experience 2002 - 2006 Doctoral thesis in computer science at IRISA, Siames/Bunraku team, Rennes, France. - Thesis subject: Between perception and action: a model for autonomous virtual actors. - Nature of the work: Developing a paradigm for allowing autonomous virtual humans to interact with their environment. - Results: conceived and implemented a simulation kernel associated with an editor to allow the creation of interactive objects for interaction by virtual entities.
Studies 2002 - 2006 Doctoral Thesis in Computer Science, at Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA), Very Honorable Mention, Rennes, France. 1999 - 2002 Computer Science and Networking Engineer, Ecole Supérieure des Ingénieurs de Beyrouth (ESIB), Beirut, Lebanon (head of specialty). 1997 - 1999 Superior and Special Mathematics, Ecole Supérieure des Ingénieurs de Beyrouth (ESIB), Beirut, Lebanon. 1997 French Baccalaureate in Mathematics
Training 2001
Final training at IRISA, Siames Team, Rennes, France (3 months): - Training subject: Integration of peripherals for multimodal interactions within a 3D immersive world. - Nature of the work: Implémentation of drivers for interaction peripherals, and conception and implementation of navigation metaphors within the OpenMASK platform. - Results: Integrated the DataGlove 5D and a SpaceMouse in OpenMASK, and created 3 different virtual navigation models.
2000
Training at Dataflow, Beirut, Lebanon (3 months): Participated in the development of the first Lebanese Wap portal. Work was awarded at Beirut Expo 2000.
