Urban zones (Crolles/Bernin/Froges/Brignoud/Villard-Bonnot): The existing towns. We want to limit and split the urbanisation.

- SPLIT URBANIZATION TO PRESERVE THE COUNTRYSIDE IDENTITY OF THE VALLEY. Railroad is now an obstacle for pedestrians. We make it an obstacle to urbanization and let people cross using a footbridge.

Urbanization

still growing, fed by Grenoble city extention. If we let building going on, agriculture will disapear in the benefit of urbanization.

However,

The highway is the frontier between industries and leasure place. Trees on the sides filter the noise and hide the industrial site.

the countryside spirit of Gresivaudan Valley is one of his best asset. This is contryside near city, and it offer a pleasant living environnement for the inhabitants.

That’s why we create «urban parenthesis» Passage above the highway’s gate, where the cars make less noise.

which contains the urbanization. In this «parenthesis», we create agricultural zones to split the continuity of the building.

- JOIN THE TWO BANKS OF THE ISÈRE RIVER.

The Isère river cut the valley in two sides, and their is few connection between them. Further it’s difficult for a pedestrian to cross this obstacle.

We

want to connect this two bank opposed by their economical and social statues. So we create pedestrian ways and a central leasure space for the both bank, where people can meet themself. We build bridge for the pedestrian network were connexions fail.

Family Garden in Crolles town.

In the frontier between Urban and Countryside in Forge village.

Family gardens replace little by little the houses in Brignoud village.

This map show the futur planning o the valley. The leasure zone is near the river . We transform old graver pit in leasure waterbody. The whole of leasure zone is vegetal, with grass, trees and forests. Blues arrows represent the connexions between urban zones and central space. Centrale space is a quiet and pleasure space.

Passage under the railroad, an other obstacle between the two banks.

This zones are composed of small parcels where biological agriculture will be developped. This is a most human culture, in an urban zone, where people could buy vegetable and fruits directly to the farm. In this zones, people could learn about nature and meet themselves.
