Coco Nut Biography

I was born in southwest France the year of the death of Marilyn Monroe, after school I left Paris to Berlin in 1981 attracted by the most underground city in Europe by that time. I started a Rock'n'Roll band called "Lolitas"and we had some success in the independent scene... We've recorded 4 albums for the Parisian label “New Rose Records”, two of them were recorded in the US. I took care of the visual, record sleeves, T-shirts, posters. Shortly after the fall of the wall, I left Berlin, first to Louisiana and then to Guadeloupe and I continued to play music with different musicians such as Tony Faisans, a legend of Caribbean music in the 60's with his band "Les Rapaces". At that time I started the concept of selling my paintings to my concerts like the Haitians street painters who would sell their works to tourists on the markets. Since then music and paintings have become inseparable. This is the Coco Nut Art & Music $how.
